This is basically a plug/call for NYC 911 truthers to support the New York City Coalition for Accountability Now in their goal to "legally mandate the formation of a new investigation with subpoena power by petitioning to place a referendum on the ballot in the November 2009 General Election." Article/proposal written by architect Richard Gage, founder and director of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth.

I applaud and salute this effort. Hopefully they can ram this through without getting derailed by the shadow of the government.

It is about time! Hopefully citizens of every state who feel, believe and know that the United States Government has not investigated the most serious crime ever committed on U.S. soil to our lofty, discerning and demanding Constitutional standards will see this as a clarion call to get this on the ballot of every state.

As mid-term congressional elections approach let us all hold from coast to coast, from sea to shining sea these would be servants of the public accountable in a pledge to take up this cause when elected and let us all finally do our duty as responsible citizens and vote it into law that they have too.

Inalienable rights are only inalienable when you, I, each and every one of us is willing to fight for them. In democracies we fight for those things with our voices, and we fight for them at the polls, and we demand our political representatives in fact represent our voices as they create a majority.

So brothers, sisters, moms and dads let us now do our sacred responsibility to our great nation and show the world once and for all that this is the Home of the Free and the Brave where Justice is for ALL!

This is a great way to make someone think about 9/11 again. The official story is fabricated and needs to be looked at again.

So what happens to the truth movement if they reach the same conclusion? will they concede defeat or just scream foul?

What this is, in all practicality, is just a last minute wake-up call to people before the SHTF. People do need to pay attention though. On and on and on for years this has been a problem, and the problem only gets worse as more and more people become vocal about it.

The people that don't want to hear about it, just don't want to really have to think about it, end of discussion. But there are still a slew of unresolved questions and issues, and if anyone doesn't think this is the case I would love to bring up several things in particular myself.

It's about time.

If the new investigation makes the same conclusions, that is fine with me. I just want this issue put to rest, and we need this initiative to pass in order to get to the truth, once and for all.

On a side note, if the WTC towers would have fallen sideways, what would happen to the buildings next to them? Would there be a runaway domino affect, or is an adjacent skyscraper sturdy enough to support it's neighboring building too?

A well chosen, impartial, thorough team of investigators could not possibly reach the same conclusions as the 911 Omission. No way in hell. Have you conveniently missed the countless threads here at ATS as well as the tons of other websites that are asking the hard hitting questions?

The MSM used to provide this service. Well chosen, impartial, thorough teams of investigators which depended on the accuracy and credibility of their stories to sell newspapers. Fortunately today we have sites like ATS, organizations like p4T and AE911T, and thorough investigators like Craig Ranke (CIT) to fulfill that role for the CIA-lapdog MSM puppets. Phew! I dunno what we'd do without them. The MSM failed so miserably at their own reporting of 911, they revealed their secret loyalties, and secret royalties, once and for all.

What are they going to say about the evidence of nano-thermate? And what about the eyewitness accounts of the Northside flight path? And what about the missing serial numbers on the FDR's? Oh boy! Yes sirree Bob. Subpoena the serial numbers, please dear God. And how about all that gold underneath the towers? And what about those freaks busted in the mini van with a painting of a plane flying into the towers? And the dudes who confessed in an interview that they were sent to document the event?

Oh yeah baby, we got questions alright. And I haven't even scratched the surface with those. Let's get the Mayor of Cleveland on the stand under oath. Let's get Boeing on the stand.

And for God's sakes, we'd better not forget about April Gallop. She'll have a few pertinent comments to throw in too about her classified tour of the Pentagon and how no flying object within 5 miles of that place should have seen another inch of airtime with the defenses installed in or around the Pentagon. And while they're at it, they can get all those videos the FBI has too.

Yeah, you better believe we got questions. And we want some real answers and a real investigation. Not the 48 hours the FBI took to plaster 19 hijacker's names on the screen.

edit: oh, and before I forget, I want the media department chiefs at CNN, Fox, MSNBC and all the others supoenaed too. And they better bring with them every inch of all original iso camera footage, to be examined by experts, just in case the guys who did "September Clues" are on to something. (Hey, I did say, just in case! A true investigation will take this theory and work into account as well. )

And while we're at it, we need the flight manifests. And hey how about a little, no make that a lot, of research into Silverstein and his partner. And we might as well get the head of the ISI, the Mossad, and the former head of the CIA on the stand too.

And just as a little desert, we should escort Sibel Edmonds under armed guard to really break this wide open. Why not, let's go for broke.

And if that's still not enough, maybe it's high time someone got all those firefighters who witnessed explosions to testify. And of course there is always William Rodriguez, who's testimony was stricken from the record.

And what about the work Domenick Dimaggio put into the Wally the coroner interviews? And those ladies who saw not 93 crash but instead a small white plane? Ahh yes, white planes... A common factor that day that remains shrouded in mystery. And how about analyzing some soil samples from Shanksville?

Shall I go on? There is a need for a new investigation with real teeth. Of this there is no question at this point.

I sincerely hope this ballot initiative goes through, but sadly, I think we already know what the outcome of this will be.

There is enormous amounts of speculative evidence, LOADS of it.

Of course we are still somehow to believe two passenger aircraft hits the upper 1/3 of these buildings causing an enormous amount of damage to the entire city block yet not enough to make nearby buildings not owned by the same person succumb to the same fate as building 7.

Of course they could find that the buildings were so amazingly badly built that both of them couldn't possibly withstand the impact.

One must be open to the possibility of failure as to humble themselves and try to have more of a will to succeed. Overconfidence leads to failure.

And a boatload of money to hire an army of lawyers and legal reps would also be beneficial.

The end result should be to really find out who it was that murdered 3000+ people.

Scream foul and add one more proof to the list, that the government has something to hide. The reasons for an independent investigation can't rationally and honestly be denied. The 911 truth movement isn't going away, they are a very persistent crowd and from what i can tell have been growing in numbers ever since the public was sold the OS.

Worst case, 911 ends up in a sort of JFK/RFK/MLK forever unresolved limboland. Best case, 911 ends up being like a Watergate, with a clear resolution, that the country can learn/grow from.

Evidence is not speculative. People make speculations. The evidence, my friend, speaks for itself. Now if only we could get the MSM and the good people left in government to pay attention to the evidence, and not the SPECULATION of the official story, we might really get somewhere.

What we have now is a cold case.

Yes there is a lot of real evidence. But evidence can be suppressed legaly. If it was obtained wrong or if it is faulty in any way shape or form. They may not allow it.

Take the odd coincidence that FEMA was on the ground a day before 9/11. Take the enormous amount of money that was invested just in case an event exactly like 9/11 would occur.

Take a building that was simply on fire and have it completely collapse to the ground.

You forgot about the hijackers DNA, which the FBI said they found. I have to laugh because according to NIST the impact area of the WTC got sooooo hot that it melted steel. We are also to believe everything including the airplanes was able to survive this extreme heat that melted all the steel on all four columns that caused the WTC to fall. Then we are to believe the FBI just came along the WTC rubble and just stumbled on both airplanes and just walked inside these airplanes and I am soooo sure they found the correct seat numbers where the so call hijackers were all sitting. I can imagine the FBI had their DNA swab kit with them and they just swab the hijacker’s ashes in those airplane seats and guess what, they were able to identify all the hijackers that were using stolen identity.
Now I am laughing hysterically because the firemen and first responders who had access of ground zero said everything in the WTC was blasted into tiny little pieces and the larges pieces of anything was the size of a computer key pad. The FBI are such bad lairs that they want us to believe in the most unimaginable bizarre of lies that I have ever heard of, furthermore, it sickens me to end that they really think Americans are that stupid to fall for it. Talk about playing with our intelligent. They really think we lack common sense.

5 years is plenty of time to have collected all the alternate theories of 9/11 and come up with something still in the realm of the original report but taking into account these "other" hypotheses. The only thing that has changed in the face in the White House...

Completely agree, what will be found, if not in agreeance with the original report, will be a cover up. 100% PERCENT.

Wait, you mean a 9-11 "truther" (quoted for utmost sarcasm) would wish to actually take part in and embrace reality? never happen. They'll stick their fingers in their ears and jump up and down like they have the past few years. I wouldn't be surprised if half of them think the towers are actually still standing, but they were hidden, by Alien Lizard Elvis or something.

worse, what will happen if the commission doesn't reach one segments 'pet version' of what happened. it'll be the same thing.

What are you talking about that I've had my fingers in my ears about? Is it something I've seen before, something I haven't? Is it in a federal report? Just show me. And please don't use patronizing kindergarten logic like "planes hit, buildings fall, case closed." You KNOW there is more to it than that, or else federal engineers wouldn't have ever even acted like they were investigating in the first place.

I think Richard Gage & Steven Jones have taken the best alternative route, in making appeals to the professional and academic arenas, which i believe will eventually force the MSM to cover in an objective light.

You have to applaud Gage's efforts in engaging his colleagues in the review of 911. Establishing a presence at the American Institute of Architects national convention this year, his Take an Architect or Engineer to Lunch outreach program and on going petition drive... are all aimed at enlightening the most influential/knowledgeable among us.

Sorry to hear, a real shame, for i find this to be very newsworthy and i'm glad to see that i'm not alone. If it's any consolation i have had at least three threads dumped in the trash in my short ATS career. I think it's just a matter of gracing the eyes of a mod who misinterpreters the validity of the content you are presenting.
