You have a transcendental talent. The subtle images, the word relationship, the rhythm must make the spirit of Basho very proud!

I don't think I have scored points on ATS in an eternity lol - haiku is fun and like most forms of poetry can be quite challenging or not depends on my mood lol I have been following the thread for a while - there have been some wonderful contributions from everyone

it's why I love this thread - the same form - the same rules - and everyone has a completely different voice

Privileged or poor
Humans, we always want more
All we get is death

I understand them
They just don't overstand me
And they never will

There is so much scum
I don't want it to be cleansed
I embrace the dirt

Meek shall inherit
The earth or so I am told
I inherit not

The feeling of Spring
Sun rays dance across my skin
Such a warm feeling

The smell of the air
Flowers dancing in the breeze
Grass between my toes

Restoring new life
A new beginning for all
