Seems like North Korea detonated another suitcase nuke. It was about the same same size as their first test. Maybe it was even sponsored by Al Qaeda. If Al Qaeda also have a few suitcase nukes, I bet they would want to see if they work. How to test it "undetected"? They let Kim test it. Now they know that they work...

LMAO, on a side note, I love flipping between ATS and GLP.

On ATS we get people acting normally and tlaking through things when stuff like this happens, and over there everyone is expecting WW3 to happen in the next few days over this.

Thats why I love ATS, at least here we stay level headed and THINK things through fully before we start to worry here

There is no reason to panic anyway.

NKorea are all bark and no bite. The only chance that they would do anything to another nation is if KJI is dead and the generals have taken over... which I guess is possible considering how aggressively they have been pursuing their weapons program of late.

Fact is, the US and UN needs to stop policing who can and can't have nuclear weapons. It is so ironic that the only country in the history of the planet to use them in an act of war is the one trying to control who else can have them.

Send them more porno DVDs and rice quick!

This is nothing more than a brat stomping its feet for attention.... AGAIN.

Either we need to deal with it harshly this time, or shut the hell up and leave them alone. The in between diplomatic route has only prolonged this situation and perhaps made it worse.

If they get their way again this time... what will be next?

A thermonuclear test?

I think you forgot something! You need your laptop with your WIFI so you can stay tuned to ATS while you drink your liquor.
Well that would be my priorities at least. We can stay so more tuned to current events that way!!!

Where did you hear this from?

Sorry for the one liner, if they do attack, that sure will stir up a already broiling pot!

Not to create an arguement but because America was the first to use them should give them some insight as to the moral "fallout" from the use of such.

Oh, how much I love online translators.

Their scientists and engineers practice a strict chastity system to allow themselves ultimate clarity for the tasks that lay ahead.

Weapon benefit maximum of North Korea glory statue!

Your soooo right! It is like going to the grocery store and your child throwing a tissey about something on the checkout end cap. You tell your child "You can't play with that balloon when you get home" after buying it for them at checkout, but give it to them as soon as you leave the store.

Perhaps.

I would love to see every nuclear weapon removed from the face of the earth. But until the 'superpowers' completely disarm, I think it unfair of them to bully the smaller countries out of acquiring the technology themselves.

Man, ain't that the truth. ATS trumps MSM. Probably not the first time, definitely not the last.

Oh yeah, along with a laptop/wifi/booze/porn I'm also going to need a nice nacho platter.

Does Taco Bell deliver?

At this point countries have to respond hard to this development...it got to be a strong response in the wake of Iran also trying to develop their own nuclear arsenal. If the countries of the world rally together in this case maybe that will send a strong message to Iran if not then every wacko in the world would get a chance to have nukes...

I was going to reply with utmost authority that America has the upper hand when itcomes to maturity and responsibility when handling nuclear issues and that other countries might not.

Then I looked again as to who we had in office, and had a panic attack.

How many days will it take for our leadership to respond to North Korea? Monday is a holiday, after all.

Good Point! How can we even think about attacking Iran when we think they may be getting close to a Nuke Weapon when we now know that N. Korea has offically tested a Nuke Weapon sucessfully.

Time for America to put on it's police uniform and stick its fat nose in this one. Obama your time to shine baby.

So far, Japan's response is to request an emergency meeting of the UNSC.

No link, just caught it on the news.

No other details at the moment.
