Pretty funny video, im not a Glen beck fan particulary i think he is the same as alex jones, They are catering to the tin foil hat brigade and putting their own spin on it .

You have to ask yourself that if these people are talking such truth's then why would the goverment they talk out against allow them to broadcast?.

Also this could be called an 'embellishment' but if he does that for such a trivial story then what else could he be embellishing?

interesting video none the less he looks pretty flustered by the whole thing, It is always funny to catch a liar and watch him squirm! Go whoopi Go!

To quote nanci pelosi 'I mispoke'

I still don't get what he lied about...I watched the whole thing!
were they really that upset because he said that barbara called him over when in fact he went over to her?

Thats pretty crazy.

And whats with the other chicks on the view? they don't get to say anything cuz whoopi and barbara are all worked up on some dumb nonsense?

dumb.

The funny thing is Mr Beck went on his show and stated Whoopi and Barbara were lying to him about the reserved seats and what happened after his appearance on "The View".

The moral is: Don't get on Whoopi's bad side!

Poor Glenn Beck. =(

Maybe he'll cry on air, again.

If he does, could someone record that and upload it to Youtube for me? It's the only part of the show that I like.

Honestly though, they're ALL part of the entertainment industry. Drama happens between actors on primetime TV shows all the time, this isn't really different.

He lied on his show, pretty big lies at that.

He met whoopi and that other hag on the train they exchanged pleasentries (he was appearing on their show the following week)

But then on his show he lied and said that he couldnt find a seat and the two he found had been reserved for whoopi and the hag, and they came in with a police escort.

not much really but if your anything like me i take an instant dislike to liars, especially when it is something so trivial as a meeting on a train.

Watch it again and watch how we squirms because he knows he lied

There are very few American entertainers who rank in in my top 20 people I would like to meet, Whoopi is in my top 5, and this clip seals that, she rules!! for the record, if any of you are interested, which you are probably not, my top 5 are:

1. Brian May
2. Roger Taylor
3. Tom Hanks
4. Whoopi Goldberg
5. Richard Dean Anderson

Beck was relating the story for comic effect, which is something that a comedian should understand pretty well.

I would call it embellishment, not lying, but he did toy with the facts and it's only natural that he'd be called to task for it when he was on "The View."

I'd bet dollars to donuts that Beck doesn't give a rat's patootie what Whoopi Goldberg thinks or Barbara Walters for that matter.

Beck's a good-natured fellow which is a lot more than one can say for the majority of the panel in question.

I got a lot more respect for Beck after this. You could tell that he was frustrated, wondering why they are making a big deal out of who said what when. Yet when asked he admitted he embelished the story a bit just to make a better story for his broadcast. I think this is a common thing for people to do, and seems silly to call someone a liar for misrepresenting something of little importance.

It's a battle of ego it seems, and its pretty stupid. "Well I never! To think that I would be interested in someone as lowly as Glen Beck. He's not famous, I am! To go over to him would mean that I feel he's superior to me!" Pretty trivial, but famous people don't seem to want to remember they are just human.

A little off topic, but for the recording of "We are the world", before all the singers came together the director or someone said to basically leave your egos at the door or don't show up. Heaven forbid MJ gets 15 secs of singing time and so and so gets only 10
but that's how egos go sometimes...

I dont know,Maybe i just see it differently If i was whoopi i reckon i would be pretty pissed off too.

Its like meeting somebody for the first time and everything is good and you thought nothing of it, Then finding out that the person you met had told everyody how you treated them like an ass when you didnt

Embellishment,white-lied, Its the same thing to me and to say its fine to do that because of artistic license and for his show doesnt change nothing for me.

anyone who thinks Beck got a verbal beat down on the view is just a drama whore. Like Whoopi and Barbara.

They wasted a whole segment of their show to try and portray this guy as a liar, when in fact there was NO LIE anywhere in his story. They couldn't point it out, they NEVER did.
They just nit picked the whole time like a couple catty old broads.

And to the poster with the top five list, the 80's are over, get a new list. And is brian may even american? Richard Dean Anderson....wtf? so which are you? Patty or Selma?

Look, I'm no Glen Beck fan and would love to see the guy get a verbal beat down too, but this wasn't it. This was mostly just whoopi looking like an idiot and spilling their over dramatized personal crap all over TV.

DUMB.

These few moments expose the credibility of everything Beck!

He completely misrepresented the facts as they actually occurred.

If he will change the truth (even slightly) in this case then how can anyone trust anything he talks about?

It is no surprise to me, after having listen to Beck over the years his inaccuracies have always been quite obvious and in many cases intentional.

The problem is that in recent broadcasts on radio and television Beck has used the words "trust me" "It's the truth" "I know what I am talking about" when discussing important issues and presenting his views.

He is a ratings whore... And it is scary because he has had influence over many people... Some sheep like drones even here on ATS who have fallen for his crap, and unwittingly promoted his stuff by posting viral videos on the site.

He is right he does know what he is talking about... He knows exactly what he is doing... His lies, distortions and exaggerations are all intentional and it has worked well for him.

Ultimately Beck is an entertainment personality so credibility isn't a factor... It is too bad that so many fools fall for his crap as legitimate news worthy material.

Really, what facts? And apparently you were there and know how they "actually occurred." As far as I can tell it's his word against whoopi's, and the facts that they are disputing basically add up to nothing important.

No one knows what really happened, and further more, this is such a dumb argument that no one should even care what happened.

Whoopi and Beck= DUMB.

Who on earth would put any credence in what Whoopi Goldberg or anyone on the View have to say,the show is a bunch of old bickering hens with little to no knowlege about anything, except how to create drama, hell they call each other liars etc, what a waste of airtime, being an out of work comedian makes you an authority? give me a break

Why do we, as Americans, get so absolutely hung up on these people? Why do we grant so much power and influence to this industry? We call them stars, and even the word celebrity comes from the word celestial, why is that? Who cares what Caryn Johnson or Glen Beck thinks or says?
Caryn Elaine Johnson is Mrs. Goldberg's real name, why change it to 'Goldberg', that alone ought to tell you something about these millionaire 'celebrities'. I'm an actor myself, and I can tell you, without a doubt, that these are regular people (well, they WERE regular people).

Please, do your own research, formulate your own opinions, think your own thoughts, and for your own sake, cut that television off. We cut off our television about three or four months ago and haven't looked back, and I can tell you with all sincerity, that we are a better family because of it. We don't miss it.

Edit:
Watch someone when they are watching television and don't know you're looking. Watch the expressions on their face, and the emotional reactions to the medium. It's creepy.

Funny part is how big a fan Whoopi is of Obama with the number of promises he's broken since taking office, and she's pissed off at Glen for saying Walters went over to him when in actuality he went over to her. Well, now we know factually how totally shallow Whoopi actually is.
