I have watched the most snuff films ever in 2004. You know, all those IRAQ beheading videos. They were snuff films in the purest sense. Tie up a person, turn on the camera, chop their head off.....voila.

That is a snuff film. And everyone has seen them. It's like an auto accident or bad german porn....you just have to look once.

there was a famous serial killer who did indeed make snuff vids, plenty of them. i cannot remember which one but his accomplice's last name was Ng.
i would believe they exist and if they raked in enough money, i reckon the government would let them slide. hell, the government sponsors, nay ORDERS the killing of millions of innocents daily for financial or srategic purposes. it would also be hard to determine between a fake and real video and as such makes research more difficult. But if people are getting off to fake murders, well theres always someone to take things to the next level.
and to anyone shocked by snuff videos or their prevalence in our society, to quote the late great prophet Bill Hicks (albeit out of context, but still applicable) i suggest you take a look at the world we live in and, shut your mouth.

I always thought that the definition of a snuff-video was 1. Arranged murder infront of a camera 2. Very expensive, reserved for the perverted upper class 3. No political or vengeance motives in the making of the video, only sexual perversion.

So no, I don´t believe that many of us have ever seen (I hope) a snuff video in the definition I believe to be (somewhat) correct. The beheadings in Iraq and Chechnya is psychological warfare and that is in my opinion an whole different subject.

Sorry if a post like this already was posted previously. I only skimmed through the last pages.

i believe his name was charles Ng...i'm sure there is plenty of info on the net about him...he is the only oriental serial killer i've heard about in the usa, but i've never researched it thoroughly.....as for the snuff films, i'd be honored to see a real one.

What? Was that some kind of sarcasm or what?
I'm sure snuff films are available on the internet somewhere... Just like child porn... It's highly unlikely that you'll ever stumble upon one... But that leaads me to a question: If they are almost impossible to find (illegal websites) then how do they manage to make thousands of pounds?

Cheers,
Ash

i would love to see one since they seem to be so well hidden...it sounds like something only very wealthy kinky people would be able to get their hands on...like something out of Eyes Wide Shut

I read an Internet rumor about John Kerry being involved in snuff films...I think somewheres south, probably in Mexico.

You won't catch me trying to look at that kind of stuff. That's just plain sick. I already have an inkling as to the depravity of mankind, I don't think I need confirmation.

why are people calling these videos evil and wrong...the people doing the video simply have a different viewpoint than most people in the world..if some man or woman wants to get killed while having sex that is their choice....it is just clearing out some of the wackos but also allowing them the freedom to express themselves....it is a win win situation for everyone else

I'm all for freedom of expression but what concerns me is the people who get sexual gratification out of these films. Obviously, any person who would agree to be murdered on film has become mentally unstable but what about the one who pays top price for these films. Anyone who would get satisfaction from this type of subject matter has a serious personality disorder. Even if the film is staged and no actual murder takes place, it's the still the subject matter that gets these people turned on. When you break it all down, these films are essentailly about nothing more than power in its rawest form. Those that get turned on by rape and snuff films ultimately are getting turned on by the power that is exerted upon a helpless victim. Pretty disturbing stuff.

it's not exactly a snuff film but Brandon Lee in The Crow did die during filming and they left the scene in the film. The point when he died is near the end of the film when he was standing on a table and the gangsters open fire on him and he falls off the table.

Snuff films do exist, they were normally shot on 8mm. I don't know why or who would do such things. It is pretty sick to do in my opinion.

This thread reminds me off a story or fact, im not sure, of what another kid told me he had seen when i was younger, around his age.
He claimed to of seen a snuff film where they rounded up a load of homeless people, filled them up with drugs, and put them all together, as they ran around completely off their heads they were shot, with one coming towards the camera shouting and screaming, crazed on what ever drug they gave him, and was shot at point blank range right in front of the camera.

Sick, ive never felt the need to watch one, as that story stayed in my head to this day.

I'm not sure how many of you have heard of The Guinea Pig series, but here is a website you can check out some of the scenes. Scroll to the bottom of the page and the links of each film are on the left.

This is the link I read to find out about the above films. Very interesting.

snuff films are absolutely creepy. I cannot believe people even watch them.

Thats where the movie "hostel" sort of came from. The director eli roth came across a sight from thailand i think... where you can shoot a person for a large amount of money

not that it was a snuff film but still.

there are CREEPY people in the world.

Prob been mentioned, real snuff has never been found by any credible source-ie it's all "I saw it in a hotel room and the shadey men took it away.".

Snuff as defined as "a filme made in which someone is murdered for the purpose to entertainment of the viewer." The closest known are the takes of a couple serial killers who used film to relive the events.

I have admittedly seen many videos of people being killed, and also pictures. I have seen a video of a 9 year old girl in Afghanistan being stoned to death (I believe they said it was because she was raped, and was no longer a virgin), Countless WWII videos and many others. The worst that I saw was the other day though. I think I found a link for it on this site, it was of an old looking man laying in the woods, and there are 2 other people there, one holding the camera and another smashing him in the face with a big yellow thing with a metal thing on the end of it. They then stabbed him over and over and over again in the stomach (with a screwdriver - every time they stabbed him he would make a moaning noise. They even stuck the screwdriver into one hole and started destroying his insides). They then proceeded to zoom on his face, when you realise he no longer has eyeballs, and there is blood streaming out of his face. They then poke the screwdriver into one of his eye sockets over and over again, they stop, the guy immediately moves his hand to his face and makes more noise. They then proceed to repeatedly smash him in the face (golf style) with a sledgehammer, and then video themselves as they run out of the woods, clean their hands and weapons at the boot of a car and then the video ends.

That was the worst video I've seen. Something makes me want to watch it again though.

Edit: Sorry for bumping a 3 year old thread... Didn't realise.

What a world we live in when we can watch executions, beheadings and murders at the click of a button eh?

I used to work with a guy who had a number of videos on his phone, such as russian and afghan beheading videos, brutal videos of gang fights and beatings and very violent porn, he would brag about the latest video and show them to everyone in work.

I often wonder about him and his mental state.

Whilst we're on topic, I did read somewhere that a large amount of snuff films are made in mexico and other poor countires. Supposedly groups of Westerners travel to these places and organise kidnappings (usually women) and pay off the authorities with huge bribes.

These women end up in snuff videos, tortured and killed for the camera.

Or so i read somewhere...

Not sure if that recent Russian video of the two guys murdering someone is considered a snuff film or not, but it was gut wrenching. They beat the victim with a hammer in the face, stabbed him etc. I watched about 5 seconds of it and felt
