Words that resonate with you

My very first BTS thread! Yipee!

This is a thread for you to list words that somehow resonate with you or that you have been enjoying recently. These words are always changing for everyone; most people "get into" a word and use it excessively for awhile before getting tired of it. So these are lists that I suppose would change over time for everyone.

My current list:

Cthonic
Nubile
Splendid
Crenellation
Rubrication
Lubricious
Tensile

Currently only two words resonate with me at the moment...
Halftard (kudos to Crakeur)
and Oxymoron
Simply because my life is full of both at the moment.

Seems to roll off the tongue really smoothly and just sounds nice!

no it is a lovely word and it sounds great


you are right OP there are always words you pick up and use for a while

pretty strange - to me - when i pick up a word, maybe because i didn.t understood and looked it up and than - boom - it appeares everywhere
i can.t read a newspaper article without this word popping up.

apparently strange - no it isn.t

not a prouder day than when recently my 8 year old son used "apparently" correctly as an answer to a question I posed.

Stucco - i'm remodeling my house

Maladroit - what I feel like when I'm trying to remodel my house.

Disassociated - what my embarrased neighbors are when the paint scheme on my house is not. . . . .quite. . . . .right.

Kerchunk - the sound of broken stucco hitting me on the head.

Inebriation - what I want after a long day of kerchunk.

Chimichanga - goes well with beer, which is my primary source of inebriation. (and its fun to say )

Discombobulated - when I drink.

Wonderful - when I deal with customers, "You have a wonderful day."

Owned - Yeah it's old, and I'm old school.

Crazy - This word gets used a lot in the kitchen I work in.

Moo? - I guess it's a word, I get weird looks when I moo at my friends and co workers.

*self snip* - When I get mad.
