Guantanamo Closure Funds Stripped by Senate, 90-6

Senators on Wednesday followed through with their vow to deny the Obama administration the necessary money to close the US prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Voting 90-6, the Senate stripped $80 million from a supplemental military funding bill, $50 million of which was designated to close the controversial prison and $30 million for a Justice Department investigation into interrogation techniques used there.

Why, why on earth would the senate vote to not provide the funding necessary to close gitmo. Seriously!!!!!! I am so fed up with all of this right now. Its a good thing I'm going on vacation this weekend otherwise I'd most likely lose my sh*t. My government continues you to let me down on a daily basis and it is not just on one person, its on 90 senators this time....
