American Idol Kris Allen Winner

i am very surprised that Kris allen won the american idol award

I did not vote.....but watched many weeks (with GF who always tivo'd it lol) .....and

i thought Adam Lambert was head and shoulders better ......

I was thinking that alot of (third place finalist) Danny Gokey's fans switched to Kris when Danny was eliminated and i think that is what took the title for Kris (plus the ladies like his looks)........

He was the safe choice for the teenybopper girls and the older crowd out there. Last year, David Cook won because the little girls thought David Archuleta was going to be a shoo-in. This time, they voted in droves for Kris. I thought he was always better than the overrated Danny Gokey, but Adam had a much better voice. This is a popularity contest, not a vocal one which explains why Taylor Hicks won.

I am glad Kris won though, as he is at least talented.
