Boy, 13, becomes father

I hope some of us are very familiar with the story of the 13 year old boy who became famous for getting his 14 year old girlfriend pregnant when he was 12.

Well turns out that he isn't the father after all! Can you even imagine how he felt? First being a father at such a young father and vowing to be a good father, then finding out that he isn't even the dad after all the media frenzie...!

I mean there is no excuse, people need to take responsibility for themselves, but that's a lot to take on being 12/13 years old.

The fact this girl has had, at least, two sexual encounters, is staggering. Something has to happen in GB for children to not have sex at such a young age.

I was so glad to read this - I don't even know why - I mean it's still a young mother and a poor little baby whose chances at a good life are going to be realllly slim - but I'm just all around glad this little boy isn't the father.

I wonder if he's all upset about it - poor kid...

Something I'm sure he'll get over and hopefully be the better for.

I just hope he doesn't play hop-on-pop and go out and try to get her knocked up the next time!

I find that videos like that really don't work with teens. They usually dismiss that stuff. Teaching them about the "scariness" of giving birth will never be as effective as teaching them about all the responsibilities that come with a child. In fact, that is a much better approach for men, considering that male teens do not have to worry about giving birth, or deciding between taking the pregnancy to term or aborting.
