And these are the clowns we have writing our laws? Don't you think it should be mandatory that these short bus riders have an understanding of what they're legislating before enacting any law?

Someone clear this up for me .

Heat seeking ammo is completely different from incendiary rounds (i thought)
Tbh i have never even heard of heat seeking bullets. not in practical terms anyway.

I saw the thread title then watched this vid and this whole heat seeking bullet thing is spinning me out .

Do the people in the vid have any idea what there talking about ?

Im not studied up on firearms but heat seeking bullets? wtf.

Can someone clear this up for me .

Om

Heat-seeking and incendiary are not the same thing. These bullets have neither. They're just hunks of lead. There isnt anything special about them one way or the other.

No, this woman has no idea what she's talking about. Very few of them have any clue what they're talking about yet these are the lawmakers.

Laws based on ignorance and magic to oppress you and me.

Here's another classic example:

It's disturbing. Would you let some idiot who had no idea what an automobile was drive your kids schoolbus?

Indendiary Ammo:
en.wikipedia.org...

It's not a heat seeking round. It's not going to cook your breakfast. This is another stupid politician trying to use an excuse to take our guns and ammo. Nobody said you HAVE to use that kind of ammo in that gun... at least I don't think so (I'm no gun expert). This is just more proof these people are in a position of power and they are just ignorant to no extreme.

Thanks for the laugh. I now have to wipe the coffee off of my monitor.

Where is the little guide rocket motor located on the .50 cartridge? I think I have some bad rounds because I can't find it.

Imagine eating some cooked venison out in the bush immediately after a kill. What a great snack. If I can only find a way to pack some seasoning into the bullet. Perhaps I can place a seasoning pack next to the tiny computer chip in the bullet.

Who am I kidding? I would need a 40mm grenade (to house the technology and seasoning packet) and a M32 to make this fantasy come to life.

Ohhhh What a maroon.

I honestly had no clue what a barrel shroud was but I got a link real quick for others:

en.wikipedia.org...

1) I don't see how having that on your gun is going to make you a more efficient killer or a terrorist. If anything it would help not get burned.

2) Another dumb politician. I like at the end where he keeps asking if she knows what it is and she says "I think it's some shoulder strap thingy." or something like that and right before the video cuts off the news reporter says "No you don't.."

I get what you mean about the bus driver. I don't see how these people get elected..

Ah i knew it !
I thought i was right , Many thanks to you for taking the time to outline things for me

So then i ask this, If these people have no idea what there talking about then why are they in such an important role? How can these people expect anyone to take them seriously when they so blindly spout these outrages claims as fact.

And then these clowns have the audacity to try to manipulate peoples way of life based on BS .

Some people need a good kick up the ass .

I completely agree. A swift kick is what these people need. Problem is they know this, and they know the swift kick is going to come from a firearm. The second amendment was made, in my opinion, to get rid of a corrupt government. They say you can't fight fire with fire but they know that the only fire they have in the end is the military backing them up and police officers. They can all have guns, we cannot. That's what they think anyway

We need an avid reloader to play with one of these:

Ronco Flavor Injector

and see if he can't come up with something.

Lets stop the collective back rubbing for a second and be aware that

a. this video is several years old
b. this woman is just a lowly local politician
c. this woman is not a member of the democratic party
d. subsequently neither this video nor the woman have any relevance in discussion about federal gun laws.

Thank you, commence backrub.

lol not an American or gun owner but that barrel shroud video made me laugh.I take it she voted for this not having the first clue what it was..pretty sad really. All it took was a wiki link, shows you these people are not interested in logical laws when they cant even be arsed to take 5 seconds out their life to see what it was.

hell yea if only this could be real!
think about it next time your hunting no need to bother to wait to cook and eat it a few bullets would do the trick!

geez well not that the idea is impossible but it could sure as hell be alot of fun. i would think laser technology in a pulse mode would be more effective.

That's like banning assault weapons because they have a bayonet lug on them.

When was the last time a criminal used a bayonet on a rifle to kill someone.

In fact when was the last time someone in the military used a bayonet mounted on a rifle to kill a enemy.
Vietnam??????

The only time i have used the bayonet lug on my AR15 was as a flashlight holder after i took the handle from a old bayonet and machined it into a mount for mini a mag-lite.

She is argueing that this 50 cal will cook whatever it hits if it uses a "heat seeking round"? Lets say this is remotely possible, that is the least of the worries for the guy on the recieving end.

I shoot someone in the shoulder with this thing and it will rip your arm completely off. Who cares that your arm is cooked, you will most likely die from shock in a few minutes. I hit you in the face there wouldn't be anything left to cook.

This thing is pretty much a one hit kill weapon and she has gripes about it cooking someone?

Incendirary rounds burn hotter then a normal round, but it won't cook anyone. If anything, if shot from a M16, it could caterize a wound, potentially stopping a person beeding out. Thats even unlikely. It will do nothing for the hole in your chest though.

haha simply the funniest thing I've ever seen... you know those homestead terrorists, if they got their hands on a 50 bmg with a barrel shroud on it man ... they could activate the flux capacitor and go back to the 60's and prevent the dinosaurs from going extinct from meteor hitler
