Quite simply, it looks like imperialism. This bill would impose enormous taxes and restrictions on free commerce by wealthy but faltering powers -- California, Massachusetts and New York -- seeking to exploit politically weaker colonies in order to prop up their own decaying economies. Because proceeds from their new taxes, levied mostly on us, will be spent on their social programs while negatively impacting our economy, we Hoosiers decline to submit meekly.

This article by the Governor of Indiana makes some excellent points on the Cap and Trade (scam) program. He's vehemently opposed to the legislation, and rightfully so. Among other issues, he points out that:

No honest estimate pretends to suggest that a U.S. cap-and-trade regime will move the world's thermometer by so much as a tenth of a degree a half century from now.

Definitely something to consider before we dive headlong into this.

Great move! This whole thing is a scam... Al Gore father owns oil corporations and Al Gore/Obama making money on the whole BS carbon credit scam.

And CO2 is NOT a pollutant. CO2 is what plants breathe... but let's forget that eh? Let's tax everyone to death. And it will be paid to the world government. Disgusting. Eugenicists, GO TO HELL.

The stupid environementalists are useful idiots.

Are they talking about depleted uranium? Water pollution? Monsanto? Of course not. All day long it's GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bunch of IDIOTS.
