A teacher from a special school in the Flemish Brabant municipality of Hoegaarden has been suspended after he was filmed physically abusing a 14-year-old pupil. The man teaches bricklaying to pupils with learning difficulties.

In the second link you find a video of the whole incident, that was filmed by a classmat with his cellphone, the incident lasted for about 15 min.
Looking at the video I can't believe that all that teacher got was a suspension, but see and deside for yourself.
In an interview given on Belgian television, Flemish Education Minister Frank Vandenbroucke , stated that the bad behaviour of the boy should also be taken into concideration. (The boy refused to take part in the class activities)
Other sources say that the boy who filmed the incident was also suspended for 'using his cell phone in class' (not officially comfirmed yet).

my thought exactly

You can see in the vid how that teacher turns the kid upside down and put his head in a bucket of cement... a few min later he puts he's head in a sink with water.... drags him over the floor, etc....

that IS child abuse!
