Time is running out for scientists to comment on the proposed National Institutes of Health (NIH) guidelines for the use of human embryonic stem (ES) cell lines and their eligibility for federal funds. The rules as drafted make it possible that funding for almost all existing cell lines will disappear.

This was a strong point in Obama's campaign which I agreed with and was one of the reasons I voted for him.

Another was transparency in government, yet he has already used the state secrets clause and now decided to withhold torture evidence.

Is this another promise he made that will not come true?
