We're starting to see a shift now from immunocomprimised adults to children- even with the most virulent flu strain, it usually takes a few days to get that sick. In 1918, however, many people were well and within 8-24 hours, were dead.

Something to watch for as more people are killed by this bug.

Poor kids- I think that's the worst (forgive the editorializing).

schools are now closed in Manhattan (1), Brooklyn (1) and Queens (15).

My wife saw them talking about 3 different strains. I haven't seen any other talk about this but thought it was worth mentioning.
