It was an arm with a wicked looking hand. There were three fingers going one way, and the other two looked almost independent. or at least angled differently.

Not only that but the tips of the fingers had an extra joint awkwardly curled.

When I looked at that, I thought alien. At least foreign to what we think of as human. .

If you guys would read back a few pages, you would know...rather than wait a few weeks. The book title is "The Link" and the picture is a skeletal hand of an Adapid. An extinct primate that is supposedly the missing link. It's been posted and here is the link again. All the info matches up.

Yea, i hope someone saved that book cover to their HD. Id really like to see that after hearing how strange it seemed.

This is definitely another one of History Channels genius marketing ploys.

I love how they show something devastating happen in a preview of a "next time on" series, then when you watch it, it turns out that nothing happens at all and the preview was cropped to hell, giving an illusion of something interesting.

Just last week, on the logger show. I remembered the preview of them searching for a lost logger, and it showed one of them seemingly finding the guy, and sayin "oohh mann" like he was seriously hurt or possibly dead. Well...lo and behold, i tune in and the guy was perfectly fine walking out of the woods. Thats just a poor example, but history always does this crap.

And of course...Ill be watching because im sitting on the edge of my freaking seat here, anticipating the find of an alien monkey/lemur hand?

May 25th 2008 - NASA's Phoenix spacecraft lands in the polar region on Mars

This could hint towards the polar caps theory of the ice core samples??

I know were pretty much set on this lemur guy, but im just putting other facts out there for others to consider.

Am i thinking too far into this? heh...Its late...or early i should say.

Oh my god.

This has to be the missing link, surely. Will the news conference be on international media? cannot believe how secret this event and the research has been

According to another forum;

hI , in response to this book release the following is known to be true.
The title of the book is The Link
on the cover is a fossilized arm/hand skeleton.
the author is Colin Tudge.
and he's sworn to secrecy until the release and press conference.

[edit]

Ignore that, apparently this is not it.

Colin Tudge will be working with the BBC and this announcement has exclusive rights given to the History Channel.

Well, then that throws off all theories about the lemur thing.

Do you have any sources for this info?

I'm with you on this...

all this missing link talk and Tudge background is going on in BBC production....with Atenbourgh hosting the show...etc.,etc...

and here we are discussing History channel which is a totally different set of play

off course the book Untitled, linked to be premiered on History is still in play

I'm sure this is not about the BBC missing link thing...
could also have nothing to do with Tudge story

and here we are back to the drawing board again...

my guess:
seeing History ch. being quite opened to ufology with UFO Hunters and stuff alike...
I wouldn't be amazed if it actually will be linked to some disclosure...

Basset said they have a wealth of good proof stuff in their hands, and that PRG will force it out into the MSM if nobody reacts till the end of May....

Why not History Channel?
PRG has the freedom to sell exclusive rights on this info to anyone...
History ch. has the right to make the most out of the deal...
MSM docu chanell is preferably faaaar better than any www. internet video broadcast site
so....

I'm all definately NOT ruling this possibility out...

Is this the picture that was seen? If not then it does seem to be slightly close to what you have all described here...
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/c95fc87acb8e.jpg[/atsimg]http://www.fotosearch.com/IGS288/is403-057/

Seems lots of other places are talking about this too..

They think they found the MISSING LINK, or something
History Channel says they will have it. Colin Tudge and Josh Young have written a book called "The Link" Uncovering Our Earliest Ancestor" due to be released on May 20. The History Channel will air a documentary on May 25, with a press conference afterwards. The authors have been sworn to secrecy until that time. Even the ISBN description (ISBN:9780316070089) of the book masks its title and cover art. However, the cover purportedly has a fossilized hand and arm and a skeleton.
elizabethprata.blogspot.com...

I've been looking everywhere and trying all sorts of different searches...but have hardly found anything.. they have got this locked up very very tight.

Makes you wonder how they can keep something like this so locked up, yet have a hard time keeping new movies from being released on the net before they arrive in cinemas.

Of all the book sellers that advertise and sell on the internet, you'd think that just one of them would have snuck out pictures or more info...but no, their lips are as sealed as a fossil in stone...

OK, im agreeing with infinite.

BBC has nothing to do with History channel, so if this guy has been sworn to secrecy about this subject, why can we find information pertaining to this BBC thing? Why is he even dealing with BBC if its a secrecy thing? And why would the book with the hidden cover give a breif description? Shouldnt it not give any?

I think it could be something totally different than what we are assuming. I will hope for the best, but the only thing that will do us any good would be to have an insider release info. or wait until the show airs. The anticipation is killing me here...jeeezz. Television marketing at its best folks.

I have a friend that works at Discovery Headquarters here in Maryland. He films with Mike Rowe. Im gonna see what i can pry outta him if he even knows anything.

"The link" is not being released on May 25. Plus, the title and premise of the discovery are already in the public domain. This, however, is under silence until the press conference.

There is another BBC documentary too, that discusses the controversial claims that the Chinese are not genetically linked to the African line of Humans (which we all generate from.)

But, this event is not linked to either.

That's not it.

The book is being released on the same day the History Channel is airing the documentary. All are being released after the news conference.

"The link" is a different event. The findings here are so secret, that only the team and investigators know about it.

Yes, i would assume the book for the History Channel subject would be released the day of, or shortly after the show airs. With the marketing they're using to hype this show up, the idea of them releasing the book before the show doesn't make sense. Their brilliant commercial would then be a waste once we are let down by what the book tells.

Im just really hoping this could be something very good. But i have been let down by the people at history many a time...IE UFO Hunters, Monsters, Hobbit, and the recent Predator show....That was pretty lame. All they had was a piece of a jaw.

Give us something good History!!
