Two Labour peers face suspension from Parliament for six months after being found guilty of misconduct.

Ex-trade minister Lord Truscott and Lord Taylor of Blackburn were accused by the Sunday Times of being willing to change laws in exchange for cash.

The two men denied the allegations but they now face sanctions following a probe by a House of Lords Committee.

Labour's leader in the House of Lords had described the allegations against them as "very serious".

Good news at last.. Or is this just a few scraps being swept up from the bottom of the pyramid?

Unfortunately, that is the entire report as of this post. I am sure we will get to hear a lot more about this over the next few days or so.

It's about time TPTB became 'the powers that were'...

What with ll these expense claims and now the 'too much bling' campaign... just who are the real crooks these days?

They should be imprisoned for corruption and stripped of all titles etc.

We need a modern day Guy Fawkes, only this time let's hope he succeeds!

the ongoing fraud in parliment


when you and me take more money or claim more than we can , we can expect the police to knock on the door and be dragged off - as fraud is a crime

and yet for this lot its an `embarrassment`

why arn`t the self confessed criminals being dragged off and charged allready?

I'm with you there Freeborn! Surely such conduct should warrant a jail sentence and them losing their peerage? But no, a slap on the wrist, swept under the carpet and we all go on like nothing happened. Well, except us folk that actually have our eyes open and our heads out of the clouds.

350 years later, how apt would this be for the disgrace we have who currently masquerade as Members Of Parliament.
We need an end of party politics and a return to people's politics.
