It seems fitting that while Hubble is undergoing repair we should look at the top 20 images produced over the years!

www.guardian.co.uk...

I think most of these images have been viewed before, but they never ceases to amaze and inspire me no matter how many times I see them. It's hard not to look at them without at least a small amount of wonderment!!

Life without Hubble would certainly be less interesting.

They make me feel very humble and little.
In a way, they make me feel peaceful

Thanks for reminding how beautiful it is out there....

Stunning. Just stunning. What more can I say? Being able to view space as time and vice-verse like that is a humbling experience and a privilege.

I'm off to become a zen hermit !!!

Incredibly beautiful. What else can I say?

However, I feel as though many tend to undervalue what lies beneath the skull when observing the 'hugeness of the cosmos'. The human brain is complex in a way the stars can't ever be.

Isn't the universe a beautiful thing?

I really appreciate you posting this link for us.

I think the Cat Eye Nebula, Pismis 24 and the picture of the 4 moons in view of Saturn were striking.

It makes me feel so small.
