If I had to paint my world in
various shades and hues
I would start my painting
with a deep dark shade of blue
Here and there a streak of red
for the love that I've been shown
but also to represent
the pain that I have known
A splattering of yellow
for the happiness and laughs
a smear of green in varying shades
for the earth, the trees, the grass
Here and there a gleam of gold
for the sunshine I adore
a bit of gray for the cloudy days
and the rain that sometimes pours
A tinge of brown for the fertile soil
from which the flowers spring forth
A glistening speck of the brightest white
for the great star in the north
A circle of purple to represent
the fruit sweet on the vine
that with time and caring
makes a lovely glass of wine
Of course I'd add a bit of pink
it is a feminine hue
and for the all the sorrow
I'd finish with a little more blue
This painting would represent my life
that will one day cease
but a part of me will live on
in the form of a masterpiece...

This is definitely something to be proud of. Honestly I would imagine finding this piece in a book of popular literature or some revered, leather bound work carefully guarded, placed away in the shelves of beauty. That's what I think anyway.
