Not funny: Barack Obama laughs at Wanda Sykes "joke" about wanting Rush Limbaugh dead

Actually she said she hopes that Limbaugh's kidneys fail. That is not the same as wanting Rush dead.

Let us compare here the Left and Right wing views.

Rush want's Obama's Socialist policies to fail, to the Left that means that Rush want's America to fail.

Sykes want's Rush's kidneys to fail, to the Right that means that she want's rush to die.

I see how the pendulum swings.

Failure of the kidneys does not mean death. With treatment (Dialysis) a person can live without their kidneys.

So for the Right wingers to throw your words in your face, Sykes doesn't want Rush dead, just wants him to be in agony.

I guess turn about is not fair play right?

Rush really seemed to enjoy the Barack the magic negro song when he proudly aired it on his show, he has time and again enjoyed jokes, parody, and comedic rants on or about Obama.

He has a sense of humor, maybe he has a thick enough skin to "take it" he sure has no problem dishing it out.



Then again, I remember when they wanted to Jail Bill Maher for a joke about the war on terrorism.

Rush's show today could be rather interesting.

Too bad Rush never said that. But, I guess it's OK for comedians to fabricate quotes to make a point, right? But making a point on fabricated truth, is it really a point?

Obama smokes, so I hope his lungs fail.

Give me a break... like laughing at her jokes was somehow worse than bush minor's tacky gag about looking for WMD behind the couch and under the desk etc.

You do not make jokes about sending our men and women off to die...

Obama was the better comedian that night. He was rather comical. It looked more like a "roast". They should have a presidential roast every year and let the pres do the roasting. Obama tore some people up.

A few years ago at some event 1st lady Bush roasted her husband well.

She said he had been out milking a cow but complied that he couldn't get any milk. She said "thats a horse George".

For the record, Obama very likely doesn't want just Rush Limbaugh to die, but millions of Americans as well.

Obama's mentor Bill Ayers founded a terrorist organization that sought to overthrow the government of the United States and murder millions of Americans that did not go along with his Communist ideology.

I thought it was funny, not hilarious, but funny... the basic nature of comedy is pretty much "I'm glad it's not me" - man slips on banana skin? Harold Lloyd, Chaplin? The basis of almost all comedy is that there's a "victim" - it's life affirming in a way.

Most people will laugh at some pretty off-colour stuff, it doesn't mean they believe it or in it. I think it's valid and good you've got a human as president.

I did actually, and I didn't laugh. I thought it was a pretty stupid "joke" and a tasteless one too. But then again, I think wanda sykes is a horrible comedienne, right up there with chris rock. They don't even begin to measure up to Eddie Murphy or Bill Cosby (one comedian who doesn't even need to make vulgar jokes)
