it is surprising how people will offer an opinion without even checking the facts.
Most if not all of the big stories ANW covers ARE well sourced and covered by FOREIGN (Non-English) Sources. Why others don't cover these stories is more a question for the others not ANW!

The questionable stories tend to be the ones that merely involve airing an interesting Youtube video with no story.

Point in case: The Chengdu UFO crash covered a fortnight ago or so and now making MSM news in China
news.ifeng.com...

The Greek story was wholly and solely broken by ANW and THEN CONFIRMED TO HAVE HAPPENED BY 'THE SUN'.
ANW also caught the cover up and censoring of the the Aviation Authority report in real time!

So to then go and say 'But they stole a translation of ATS' is a bit unfair!

Again why others don't cover these stories is anyones guess.

................One must wonder though, although I can empirically show that so many ANW stories are well sourced-it seems that those criticizing the site just ignore that and just ignore the actual sources at the bottom of the articles in question. Why?
Reality is that the UFO community swarms with disinfo agents, they are probably on this very thread now! And the knives are out for ANW for breaking the unwritten rule and showing the length and breadth of UFO sightings.....not just regurgitating the Betty and Barney abduction story.
Yes, they will probably succeed in shutting down ANW: will that be a victory for those trying to crack the UFO issue?-I am not so sure.

Erm, I live in Chengdu - have done for more than four years, and I can tell you that your contention that the above report is being reported by the Chinese MSM is very misleading. It's simply not the case. The 'ifeng.com' site you refer to you is hardly part of China's MSM.

"unfair"? No. But what is unfair and also a breach of civil law in most jurisdictions is the abuse of copy write.

For someone who has no official affiliation with ANW, it seems you are taking this very personally.

Is there reaally any point arguing with you?

Firstly, so what if you live in Chengdu.

Secondly If I post a more MSM link will it make you happy??? You like all of your type will just not respond and go flame someone else.

As for copywrite-well that was laughable....we are talking about a translation of a short document Are you for real?? It wasnt like Schrodigers dog created the content of the transcript...HE TRANSLATED IT.........................is there a rule that if someone translates something to a tee someone else has to change the translation?

Dont quit your day job to stady law m8!

I have no affiliation with ANW-just because i take the opposing side of this discussion to the OP.

This is classic disinfo technique here.....those genuinely seeking answers on UFOs ............. beware!!!!

Not to mention the fact that when someone posts something original on an open forum copywrite is very dubious and debatable. Not to mention the fact that SD gave retroactive permission effectively.

I AM SURE THAT ANW WOULD HAVE GIVEN CREDITS TO SD HAD THAT BEEN THE DONE THING-BUT FEW PEOPLE ARE SO PETTY TO EXPECT CREDIT FOR A MERE TRANSLATION OF A SHORT DOCUMENT!!!

The entire story including the original stuff was sourced from ANW---get yuor facts straight. We are dealing with a translation here, not original content............nice try. the disinfo knives are out!

Under International copy write law, a translation comprises a derivative work - meaning that whilst the original untranslated piece is protected- so too might (depending on which country's jurisdicition we are talkign about) the work undertaken by the translater be.

You say claim of copy write is dubious! I find your statement dubious - to say the least.

ooooooo...
Confirmed by "THE SUN"!
That's very impressive. The Sun is such a reliable source.

I think you might check that ............ it depends on the nature of the translation. A hundred word transcript I doubt it.

Seekers beware!

Shows how much you really know!

The disinfo mob is really coming out from their dark caves on this one.................fact is for all your 'sophisticated' arguments all you are saying is lies.....get your facts straight, whatever you think of the Sun they did confirm this story.

Good to see you Phage.

The sea Gull one is Journalism par excellence along with the article on the same page, in their "Top Sories" column about the 'man giving birth to his twin brother'.

ANW is obviously very discerning when it comes to sourcing its stories - just ask stewartw2.

Although I am clearly wasting my time here...I will again say that your arguments are inherently dishonest........I didnt make a value judgement on 'The Sun' generally i merely mentioned that in this case they did confirm the story with the Greek authorities.

I for one will never post another ANW story here and you can go on with betty and barney to your hearts content and the satisfaction of your 'masters'.

This isnt about getting to the bottom of the UFO issue here.

Some rather sad individuals (on this thread) have made UFOs and ATS their 'comfort food' kind of like others make Paris Hilton fan sites theirs..............but they are slowly turning these threads into similiar type events...no real interest in the issue...just your standard 'forum-nazis' with their love of pointless debate and dishonest but seemingly 'sophisticated' arguments...............the copywrite issue is bull end of story!

As I said on another thread you people are to UFOs what Stalinists were to Socialism............you invade the topic and then destroy it!
(mmmm...that would sure suit the cover-up)

For once I agree with you. The 'issue here' is the credibility of the ANW and the validity of ATS authors using its articles as the main source of their post.
