Texas man jailed 83 days for skipping jury duty

That is a lot time to be in jail for that. He's probably lost his job and everything.

I do not understand how people can be chosen for jury duty anyway. I have been registered to vote since I was eighteen. I even applied on some form once to try and get jury duty. I was around nineteen then. Never heard a thing back from them.
