A small synopsis( in layman terms):
A piece of moonrock that fell to Earth as a meteor was found to have a mineral previously undiscovered on Earth. Researchers named it hapkeite, after
the researcher who discovered it.

Now my lame question:
How can 'pieces' of the moon fall off, and eventually find their way to Earth? I know the Earth's gravitational force is pulling on the Moon. But
is the force strong enough to be caught in our gravitaional pull?
Not being sarcastic, or demeaning to the scientists and their discovery. Just curious as to how pieces of the Moon can make their way to Earth.
And what can cause the pieces to break off?
And, can pieces of the Earth break off?
