President Obama's proposed budget pulls funding for NYPD nuclear threat anti-terror pilot program

NYPD officials have found some troubling fine print in President Obama's proposed budget.

The budget released Thursday proposes pulling funding in 2010 for the "Securing the Cities" program that the NYPD is using to develop a system to detect and repel radiological or nuclear terror threats.

Remember when under the Bush administration the DHS was sending anti-terror money to petting zoos and other ridiculous locations as pork in anti-terror spending?

Remember how every new agency was all over the Feds and Bush for frivolous anti-terror spending that was not focused on real targets like big cities.

Well, it looks like now Obama is simply pulling funding from real security programs in the USA's number one target for terrorism. Interesting how they are pulling funding from a program specifically designed to search for radiological threats at a time when the Taliban is on the verge of taking over the Nuclear Pakistan.

Obama's budget does not continue the three-year pilot program.

Federal officials said the NYPD could apply each year for Homeland Security grants to keep the program going.

Rep. Peter King (R-L.I.) said it makes more sense to dedicate money for the necessary program than to roll the dice every year asking for money.

Funny how this story is only in a local paper, I guess CNN is too busy with Lindsey Lohan.

Obama and Lord Rahmbo would love to see something like a dirty bomb go off in a city like NY so he can have a legacy of saving the rest of the populace and declare our constitutional rights void. They would then become lord and master over the US and then turn us over to the Globalists. Saving money in his budget that protects us is not in his plan. Anything that makes us targets and makes it easier to declare marshal law is whats planned.
