If it was a private practice it would certainly be distasteful, but I don't think it would be illegal in the way that refusing to serve african americans because of the color of their skin would be. It would essentially be an issue of his percieved standards of modesty.

However, this man essentially works for the government and that's where it becomes illegal.

Well if you read, I've just posted one obvious reason why.

We are talking about real Islam, what people do in the name of islam does not mean it's true Islam.

Every muslim I know has not tried to change customs or laws for themselves, because they DON'T HAVE TO. They live in this country because they love it.

Your obviously basing your views on media news reports. But how many real muslim opinions have you really heard? Not much, because thy barely ever make it into the media! Only silly reports like this dentsist makes it, only negativity.

.... Dude... those verses dont help anything BECAUSE they consider our way of life offensive and against Allah, therefore it justifies their actions in fighting us, because they see our way of life as a fight against Allah.

Honestly, why spend so much time reading that when you could devote time to reading some buddhism, taoism or even practice astral projection. I could care less about the technicalities and laws in the Koran - it makes me dizzy just trying to remember all the do's and dont's and in the end I just feel like a circus monkey jumping through hoops.

Any dentist that bigoted is probably a crappy dentist anyway.
Any women he refused to treat should count themselves lucky.

In my high school days we had only one local dentist in the remote area I lived in. He terrorised us kids unless we agreed to follow his religion.
- Can't even remember what religion it was now, 40 years later.

But we all converted for the duration of our appointments, or we got the insides of our cheeks slashed open.

This is plainly discimination against non-muslim people. I'm so sick of hearing storys about people having to hide symbol's of there faith (such as christianity) on the bases it may offend.
Why isnt there someone out there defending our damn culture? We have a shortage of dentist's already, if this asshole's going to run his practice like a prick *Excuse language* then maybe he should move to another country that meets his religous needs.


But he wont do that because of the money. Typical.

This dentist was possibly only aiming at muslims too, forcing muslims to do what he wants. Which goes back to the point that most muslims do not agree with this guys behaviour.

A rastafarian dentist who refused you because you didn't have dreadlocks, or say for instance a Ku Klux Klan dentist who wouldn't see you because you were black.

Yes its perfectly fine. You see there is this concept called "repercussions"... you can call it karma, or you can call it the free market equilibrium. Those dentists will eventually go out of business because nobody will use them.

Am i against the free market ? No
Am i against discrimination ? Yes
Are people dying because they are of different religion ? Yes




P.S. I have no issue with what religion you are or represent, but i do have an issue when you make it an issue.

Just for the record, i more or less speak to about 50-70 people 6 days a week, obviously some a Muslim, Christian and just about everything under the sun. Many a very very successful in their businesses, but one thing we all do have in common, is that religion is a very secret thing to every individual. That does not give you the right to throw your beliefs at any person.

So if i do not go to church on Sundays, or i do not pray twice a day, does that make me less of a man and not worthy to stand side by side regardless of gender ?
