how about the Supreme Court Chief justice? John Jay ? Great men!!!!1 We owe alot to....

He siad....

"By conveying the Bible to people thus circumstanced, we certainly do them a most interesting kindness. We thereby enable them to learn that man was originally created and placed in a state of happiness, but, becoming disobedient, was subjected to the degradation and evils which he and his posterity have since experienced.

The Bible will also inform them that our gracious Creator has provided for us a Redeemer, in whom all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; that this Redeemer has made atonement "for the sins of the whole world," and thereby reconciling the Divine justice with the Divine mercy has opened a way for our redemption and salvation; and that these inestimable benefits are of the free gift and grace of God, not of our deserving, nor in our power to deserve."
--In God We Trust—The Religious Beliefs and Ideas of the American Founding Fathers, p. 379.

"In forming and settling my belief relative to the doctrines of Christianity, I adopted no articles from creeds but such only as, on careful examination, I found to be confirmed by the Bible."
--American Statesman Series, p. 360.

DA, see here for more nonsense...when WE forget with OT is saying...

Steven Williams is a fifth grade teacher at Stevens Creek Elementary School in the Cupertino Union School District, in Cupertino, CA. Like most fifth grade teachers in America, he teaches his students history. The Declaration of Independence, "The Rights of the Colonists" by Samuel Adams and John Adam's diary are still considered to be historical documents ... right? The writings of William Penn, and various state constitutions would fall under "historical" too ... don't you think? Apparently, in principal Patricia Vidmar's world, that doesn't matter. According to a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Oakland Division, by Steven Williams, Ms. Vidmar reportedly ordered him to submit his lesson plans and supplemental handouts to her for advance approval and she didn't approve of the aforementioned documents, banning them from his classroom. "Why" you ask ... because they contain some references to God and religion!

G, it's not like you to ask a question....get a response...and disappear?
What's up with that? You busy....?

Here's some more from that supposed DEIST

Thomas Jefferson

SIGNER OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE; DIPLOMAT; GOVERNOR OF VIRGINIA; SECRETARY OF STATE; THIRD PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend all to the happiness of man.

The practice of morality being necessary for the well being of society, He [God] has taken care to impress its precepts so indelibly on our hearts that they shall not be effaced by the subtleties of our brain. We all agree in the obligation of the moral principles of Jesus and nowhere will they be found delivered in greater purity than in His discourses.

I am a Christian in the only sense in which He wished anyone to be: sincerely attached to His doctrines in preference to all others.

I am a real Christian – that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus Christ.

Sounds real CHRISTIAN to OT???

Thoughts?

I mostly want to see if you're up to answering a question directly

If you really are interested in my understanding anything -

if you really are sincere -

I thought you might answer an honest question

how's about it?

no - Spira is not that type

but - she would appreciate very much an answer to her question - in as much as she's probably not going to read through all 40 of your earlier threads

at least - not tonight

it's a small, simple question - really

without excuse

what does this mean - to OT?

if you please

lol

well - conversing would be interesting - no doubt

but - if you're just going to go all Magic Eight Ball on me - it will have to wait until tomorrow

it's not late - but it's getting late here - too late for me to keep begging for an answer to the one question

:-)

so - if and when you feel like it - maybe you would tell me - in your own words - what without excuse means to you

it will keep until tomorrow - I'm sure

Spira says goodnight to OT now

Why do we care about what the presidents believe?

Why do we care about fundies getting upset over something?

Heck, I don't care if the president worship the Devil.

Oh wait.....

has anyone noticed with separation of duties that jesus and god are using the concept of having more than one person required to complete a task. in otherwords we are being doublecrossed.

The separation of duties pattern is applied to functions the performance of which requires power that can be abused. The pattern is:

1. Start with a function that is indispensable, but potentially subject to abuse.
2. Partition the function into separate steps, each necessary for the function to work or for the power that enables that function to be abused.
3. Assign each step to a different person or organization.

Three general categories of functions must be separated:

* authorization function
* recording function, e.g. preparing source documents or code or performance reports
* custody of asset whether directly or indirectly, e.g. receiving checks in mail or implementing source code or database changes.

lot of truth in your post...

You are well educated huh?
