I was perusing the White House website when I noticed something new and interesting I thought was important to share with all of you ATS'ers.

It seems that the White House now has a Facebook account where you can post commentary on whatever they post on there.

Here is The White House Facebook Account if you want to take a look at the site.

There are as well links to MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Vimeo, iTunes if you're into those sites as well.

I became a fan of the White House Facebook site, but have yet to have posted anything on there. I'm just familiarizing myself with it for now. Try and remember that if you post on there you need to be civil, or the Secret Service may perceive your post as a threat and show up on your door.

Anyone else taking a look at this and or considering giving Barack Obama some advice?

As many people as I see talk both good and bad about Obama on here in the ATS forums, I see this as a perfect opportunity for you to speak your mind. I would be interested to see who says what on this thread let alone who goes onto the Facebook site and posts a comment.

Any Conservatives?

Any Liberals?

What about Republicans?

Or Democrats?

That's exactly why I suggested to be careful in posting anything on there.

No need to make a civilized discussion turn into a nasty confrontation.

Use decorum, civility, and educated words in order to convey your opinion.

I'm not posting on there.

My advice to him would be to pull his head out of his ass.

I'm not a fan of being audited. So I wont post on Obamas Facebook.

I am laughing so hard here.

This is of course why I suggested civility and decorum when posting on there.

Be careful or you might be summoned to the White House like the guy from YouTube.

Ill probably just ask him for a bailout, I need a new car, was thinking along the lines of a Lamborghini Diablo, Gold plated, platinum rim, tv in the headset. My stress test didn't come back to well.

LMAO if I actually get one, i'm thinking its not that farfetched an idea now!

But don't you know, you have to be a bank, or a failing industry to get that money?

Of course the sarcasm there should be seen, as the the first sentence of this post is pure sarcasm.

It's sad that the American populace can not get any of that money that they paid into taxes.

Remember, the White House has a staff to do things for him.

I doubt he actually sits there and clicks on anything.

As for refusing him as a friend, that made me laugh, you go right ahead and do that.

Well, we can try to get that money. If it was up to me, I would organize a large run on the banks, just have everyone take there money out, since only 93% of the US currency is just a number on a computer.

Maybe if I promis Obama that I will go bankrupt even with the bailout he would be more inclined to give it to me, then after he tries to give it to me I'll play hardball and so no I don't really want it, then Nancy Pelosi will sneak into my house and force me to take the money. Yeah that's how it'd go.

JD140, I'm afraid to post anywhere, but that really doesn't stop me, although I'd definately be more hesitant to post on his facebook.

I haven't looked at it yet, but i'm sure he's getting responses that are "I adore you God Obama", and of that sort.

He probably checks it once a day, And you'll watch his integrity go down, and egotism skyrocket.

I do believe a "bank run" is what they are trying to deter with the whole "Bailout". I just don't see this as an answer to anyone's problems but the big businesses that feed off of American citizens.

If you give money to banks to loan to American's who can't pay for the loans they have now, how is this really and truly a fix?

A guy on here explained it to me, the economy, is like an invisible dam, protecting you from an invisible flood. None of it is real, but if you treat it like it is real, then it can become real, but in essence it's not real.

Imagine going to the store with monopoly money, but the store actually accepts it, well thats what it is, pretty much.

If we could just move back to precious metals like China just did, we'd be much better off. But no, the facade will stay.

Being off the Gold Standard is a major part of this whole thing.

Back when Nixon pulled us off of it, the country started sinking slowly downhill.

Maybe this should be a topic of a thread somewhere, instead of this thread?

No problem.

I just didn't want you to get pegged by a Moderator.

Personally, I can talk about any topic on any thread.

And they were relevant topics to a small degree since this thread is about a connection to the White House.

I saw that post on there and wondered, after laughing a lot mind you, if he got a visit from the Secret Service.

That was a rather funny post. I would never post something like that there though.
