Anyone have info on this footage?

I have found some footage of a craft or unknown on this youtube
link that has bothered me for years,I have it on a compilation video
and has always baffled me!

The footage in question begins at 2:33 and I`m not sure ,but may
have been filmed in Ecuador or Uruguay.
It could well be a hot air balloon,but who knows.
Any info would be much appreciated.

The video was recorded by Victor Chilhuiza in Quito Ecuador on Septembern 9, 1995
at 11:30 PM. Considered a classic in the 90's researchers discovered later that it was
a hot air balloon like those made for religious festivities similar to this one.




Note: The video was not a hoax, just a simple confusion.

Have these been posted before? I searched but didn't find them. They apparently have been available for months.

Well the first one I've seen and at the time someone was claiming it was caught on their house security camera they set up because they thought they had a rodent coming into the house through the door flap for their dog.

There was a couple other claims with that video also but I only recall the dog story.
