Yeah this was debunked on the first page as being from Weekly World News. It's a joke.

Read what's been posted before you post.

I read the first page, where it was debunked as you rightly say. But then i read the last page, and it looks like people are still trying to justify it as real. I thought a friendly reminder wouldn't go a miss. And there was no need to be rude. Wind yer neck in.

Weekly World News is a joke. I mean it! Take a look at the crap they dish out on their web site. And this is what they say about themselves:

Don’t believe everything you read. Unless you read it here at www.weeklyworldnews.com

Since 1979, we have protected civilians from Alien slime.

All WWN information and archives are kept secret at all times. Our data is securely stored in a decommissioned nuclear weapons silo in West Virginia. We can’t disclose exactly where but it is not too far from Hope Falls, the birthplace of Bat Boy.

Here’s one of their crappy covers, and there are many that are more hilarious than this one!

And here’s more. I'm sure you'll laugh your guts out, or I'll eat my Mexican hat! (Never mind the swine flu!
)

WWN never publicly questioned the accuracy of its own stories until 2004, when the paper began stating that "the reader should suspend disbelief for the sake of enjoyment".

WWN once carried a story about inhabitants of the planet Mercury who had proposed to establish a colony in San Francisco — presumably they sought a more temperate climate, where lead was generally a solid.

Throughout 2003, just prior to the capture of Saddam Hussein, and persisting after his capture, WWN ran a series of articles on an alleged romance between him and Osama bin Laden. The setup of the plot alleged Saddam Hussein once starred in gay porn films. The "couple" apparently had a steamy, sensual affair, before a wedding was performed, with Hussein as the bride and bin Laden as the groom.

In 2002 WWN reported that Saddam Hussein was hiding in his Nuclear Submarine, called the "Saddam-tilus", in Lake Michigan. In this Submarine he had a theme park and half the Iraqi military. It was also reported that he was planning to launch his nuclear missiles at New York and Los Angeles saving Washington D.C. for his new capital, where he would demolish the White House and build a new palace made of the ruins of the White House!

Abraham Lincoln, according to the paper, was mentally insane and his ghost has also been spotted in the White House giving ex President George W. Bush advice on the War in Iraq!

Weekly World News blamed the aliens for holes in the ozone. A Roswell crash survivor, "Altair Bob", made contact with "WWN" via telepathic e-mail. Several factions of extraterrestrials have been using the moon to dump garbage. Martians have been monitoring the Mid-East crisis. Warrior aliens have been resurrecting the dead, fighting Big Foot and training in a mock US town hidden in Antarctica. San Franciscans have opened their hearts to immigrants from Mercury.

This crap will have to do for now!

So! A 200,000 year old engraving from the Moon? You still believe it’s true? Jeeez!!!

Cheers!

Jeez, I wish I could get a job at WWN. Can you imagine how much fun those people must have making this stuff up?

There might be people who think it's irresponsible journalism, because some people actually believe it. *AHEM* But it's obviously just over the top satire.

Here is a picture of the largest rock brought back from the moon.
Which is smaller than the picture of the waffle iron with the angel in it.
Largest Rock brought back by NASA from the Moon.

Hehe - sorry I have to say.... is it just me or does that picture look totally ridiculous ? - "technicians" - they look like they're baking scones :O hoho..

Also... thats not really evidence against the story (not that I believe the story or anything) I'm just saying, if Nasa kept this a secret - as the story states - you would'nt have known about the angel rock, hence the one in your photo would still remain the biggest. I would have thought that was obvious ?

Angels on the moon. Sounds to vatican to me.
But if you look deeper into the story between the lines, it kinda reminds me of the hindu belief that there are 7 cycles of mankind. Who's to say that way back in the distant past. various civilizations didn't have space flight technology. Could have built colonies on the moon and other various worlds and satelites. Then through petty problems destroyed themselves, or decided to leave the planet before the end of an Epoch? So to me, yes there could have been past civilizations with higher technology than we have now. I'll never understand why the TPTB have to through in religion, just to make people laugh. To make you forget. or maybe so we don't remeber?

What the? (whatever)

I hate to reiterate, but the source is well... not that good. Not that I don't discount the idea of some past civilization on the moon and all, but that made me fall of my fencepost. They could at least do it a little more subtle than that.

Carry on. No panic here.
/climbs back up
-TEL

Well, it is a feature of Project Blue Beam.

Maybe this is the start of the "dispose of religion" routine in affect.

No and yes.

In the UK, the Sunday Sport 'newspaper' once famously ran the headline story "WWII Bomber Found on Moon". The same issue contained the weekend football results. These were obviously a hoax whilst the story was shown to be true when next week it was revealed that "WWII Bomber Disappears from the Moon" - with pictures to prove it

This of course raises the question of whether this statute found by NASA actually originated on Earth and was carried aboard the WWII bomber - perhaps as a 'good luck charm' - and fell out when it crashed?

As much as I'd like this to be true, its not. If you look at some of the other articles that this site has you'll see its all a bunch of BS. Like the Stonehenge twin found in Lake Michigan! lol I'm surprised it didn't have anything about Elvis being spotted on a spaceship with Bigfoot and Mother Teresa!

"“The artifact has been common knowledge among NASA insiders for years,” said Dr. Charles. “But space agency higher-ups have kept the information highly classified, fearing world-wide panic. It was smuggled out to me by persons who must, for obvious reasons, remain anonymous.”

If this is true it would be ALL OVER the media right now since it redefines humanity and what we are but it isnt, nothing on AP or Google news search. I found one article besides the one you posted, in the online magazine Weekly World news, is it being planted? When i searched for "Dr. Morris Charles" the geologist i got some hits on NASA websites but not sure if its the same person.

A bit off the subject but you should search for the video "the obama deception" by alex jones on youtube. Watch it, then change your picture.

I always wonder if they test this stuff out in the crazy media to gauge the reactions of the populous. Or just release it to the crazy media to act as insurance encase the story ends up in reputable media?

There's another possibility. It's just fabricated stories to amuse people. If I were a betting man I'd put money on that one.

like i said on page 2

scientists chipped the statue out of moon rock. the same way a stonemason would.
now its a artifact. pppffftttt......

and of course carbon dating is gonna show the material is 200,000 years old. the moon is older than moses for christ sake.

my question is why did it take so long 2 reveal the statue and yet the doctor that now has possesion of the statue says nasa knew bout it for years, but nasa says they knew nothing of it, which means the government knew all along. the only reason that we found out is 1 the government said it was fine and that means that they let it go public which brings me 2 point number 2 which means they let the statue get "smuggled" out can u say BS big time. this has government conspirecy written all over it. how close 2 the truth will the government let us get and how come they control wen and where we can find out the truth, this statue shows just one of many of the control issues the government has.

True. But how long had the WWII Bomber been on the Moon before it was announced to the public? NASA must have know of that since the 1960s but we were only told in the late 1980s ....

Maybe they needed to check first if the statue was connected to the Bomber - or it's subsequent disappearance?
