first of all-lets address the whole "Keeping man's eyes off of God" thing.

Faulty Argument-after all, to a true believer, if God allowed life on other planets, then He would have also provided a personal Savior for them, too. Now, if the Greys. and Reptilians were appearing and saying...."Ignore that God of your Fathers", then, yeah, maybe.

Second-The Eliohem gathered togather and said...."Let US make man in OUR image". The Bible never said that the only beings were God, Angels, and Mankind. Wouldn't you think something that important would have been in there?

Third-it is not Black and White, "Of God", or "Against God". Because Man is a very Poor judge of what is pleasing in God's sight.

I could go on, but I think you see my point.

We are arrogant to think we are alone in the Universe.

We are even more arrogant to think that WE hold the answers, in this life anyway....

When satan rebelled against God one of the things he was saying was, "God is wrong and He doesn't know what He's doing. If God had squashed the fallen angels, the question would have still remained, maybe satan was right, maybe God doesn't know what he's doing. From the intensity of some of the posts on this site, alot of you are still asking this question of God. So instead of squashing satan He decicded to prove that He does know what He's doing. He created man with a free will and allowed them to tested by satan, when mankind chose to believe satan's lie, "Yea hath God said"(Genesis 3) and we also rebelled this world became a testing ground. Was satan right about God not knowing what he was doing. Let's see we live in a world that has disease, violent storms, famines, economic upheavals, kids killing other kids in school, war, weapons of mass destruction, dictators who kill millions etc..... Lets see Saddam Hussein poisoned thousands of Kurds, he had the power and weapons to do that, did that make Him right? God has given us a world run by finite man under satans influence, and look around, it's messed up. I quess God was right we do need Him, for He is infinite and holy and knows what is right and wrong.

Yes, the "Us" is talking about God the Father, God the Son(Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. Before anything was, They were. I still don't grasp your point.

ok , you just spent alot of time and energy building something that means so much to you. next doors kid jumps over the wall and starts to take it apart - you can stop him but you decide not to. you just stand back and stare as he totally demolishes your hard work.

if gods love is different to our love then gods love sucks big time.

I think that Religions may interpret them as demonic incarnations becuase of what they supposedly do and what their motives are(if they are bad). But in a logical sense, they are just aliens to me. I dont think that demons have fancy space ships with knowledge beyond our own. A demon to me is a savage with lust for murder. Its hard to imagine advanced barbarians.

Thanks for responding lets keep this discussion going, hopefully without the name calling. Although John 15:18 talks about this name calling and hatred toward those who follow Christ. First, I hope I have made clear that there is no other God but Jesus Christ. As far as comparing what mankind would do to what God would do, it can't be done, Isaiah 55:8 tells us that God's ways and thoughts are not the same as man's. You also keep saying that God can't fix the world's problems. Just because he's not fixing them according to your timetable and the way you would doesn't mean He's not going to. Check out Revelation chapters 20-22. I thought of a couple of cool things in the Bible for anyone to look at. Read Isaiah 30:25 as your thinking about September 11th. Also in the Bible in the book of Daniel it talks about a curse that is poured out on Israel because the refuse to obey and follow God and His ways. The word for curse in Hebrew is "alah". If you keep track of current events Israel has been having alot of this "alah" curse poured out on them for several decades. Even the United States got a taste of this "alah" curse on 9/11. And I forgot to mention, you can read about this curse in Daniel 9:11, coincidence, not to me!

Jesus was God in the flesh. You also have God the Father, or Jahovah, and then God in spirit, or the Holy Spirit. It's one God, three forms. No one is really any more important than the other, aside from the fact that Jesus requires that we believe in him, which is believing in God the Father and God in spirit as well.

And as for that reference, it's Revelations: Chapter 4, Verse 11.

Here it is: "11: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

Addendum: I do believe that he created everything for his own good pleasure, and if that be the case, then we must also assume that he created Satan for the same reason. And Sinobyte, His love IS different from our's. It's the kind of love that understands that we will learn the best when we experience something first-hand, especially if it involves any evil-doing.

Yes...that's exactly what Muslims say as well. I find it funny that Christianity, a cult by origin, can claim that their beliefs are the correct beliefs when every other religion was claiming the same thing long before the formation of Christianity and the early beginnings of the Jewish faith.

I'm not really sure why you brought up the Catholic Church but I can see a fundamentalist finger pointing session coming on so I'll bow out of this "Jesus Saves" post. I don't wish to be dragged into the propaganda.

I just wanted to point out that the Eastern Indians claimed their gods and religion were the correct gods and religion long before the beginnings of christianity and it's finished bible and missionaries. As did the Buddhists...Muslims...Native Americans and others. Before the Jews decided others were worthy of their god and faith, others had been claiming they were the correct faith for thousands of years. It hasn't changed. Arrogance on everybodies part.
