A California based food distribution company is recalling candy imported from Mexico because it contains high levels of lead.

King Midas Inc said Fiday it is warning stores to stop selling Hula Pop.

They are wanting pregnant women and small children who have

eating this product to see a Doctor. There are a few different flavours of this candy. I'm just curious how does LEAD get even close to something that will be ingested. The levels are supposed to be very high and the danger is very real.

Well, now add Mexico to the list of places exporting poison.


I'm guessing lead occurs via the machinery this stuff is processed on.

Gee. I was expecting the product to have been from China.

I wonder if there is any connection between the reported Chinese presence in Mexico...

I guess I will be more careful with Mexican products.
