Question about Quija boards

Anything will work, just depends how fancy you want to make it. I wouldn't advise it though, I've had some pretty horrible experiences with them, although that may only serve to tempt you.

If you go through with it be cautious and yes I would have other people around you.

When I was involved with it we ended up having to do some ritual and burn the board to get rid of what we had unintentionally invited. Be careful and do your research before you do it is my only advice.
