I understand some of the basic 2012 propaganda but I doubt that I'll ever buy into much of it.

A few minutes ago on late-night TV, Channel 10, Melbourne, there was a short commercial advertising a mobile phone SMS number service.

The whole idea is that you send a text message with your name and date of birth to the "Death" service and it will predict your date of death.

I only caught a glimpse of it, so I'm lacking details - sorry.

Anyway, the example used on TV was the name Karl...

Guess what his predicted date of death was? Yep, 21st Dec, 2012.

If I see the commercial again, I'll get the SMS number and other such details.

Ok, the commercial was just on again in the next block.

Text the word Dead, your name and your year of birth to 19 30 40.

The example was:
Dead
Karl
1976

His date of death was 21st December 2012. Hit on the head by a coconut.

Make of it what you will, Aussies!

first of all it looks like a stiupid service to me. but to use the date from prediction is just a joke of the producers.
frankly, I just finished a project of the hospital for the architectural competition and we used on one of the renders the photo of the pig (swine flu panic...). it is now standing at the main entrance. and trust me, we have no shares of tamiflu manufacture.
