Does it? I am on the fence on this. Time will tell. The hype for this is unbelievable. It's like Brad Pitt pooped in public or something, everyone is all over it.

If what AJ said was true then the hype is not over done. I dont see the media screaming we all have it and we are all gonna die. I see them reporting cases far far behind what is actually happening. They are under hyping it if anything. If you want to call hype on this one then you need to say that people in general are hyping it. Not the media.

Fact is we wont know what the mortality rate in the US will be for 2 weeks to 2 months. At that point we will be able to make a good guess based on hospitals being able to deal with the waves as they come in. I never believed it was hyped. I understood the virus at the molecular level because of my own education. I dont need a Dr to confirm anything I know with my own brain.

You mean 'financial gain' like the profits that vaccine makers and dust mask makers have been making the last few days?

Well the people saying this flu is no threat that the normal flu kills 20k people per year, dont worry blah blah are half right. If this was not a pandemic and there was herd immunity we would be fine. However seeing how this virus is only supposed to exist in pigs or birds we have no natural immunity to it. So it will spread to atleast 50% of the US population.

Now we need to discuss why we are scared of pandemics. We are scared of pandemics because of the needs of the many. If 1% of the US got H1N1 no one would mention it. Infact your average flu that kills 20k per year in the US is never mentioned other than the flu shots being pushed. The reason being we have herd immunity not everyone is going to get it, infact only a small percentage will.

So regular flu = needs of the few. Pandemic flu = needs of the many. The deaths will not come from this flu alone they will come from lack of medical treatment. If you were to get this flu today and you went to the Dr chances are youd hate life for feeling sicker than a dog but youd be just fine in a week or so and continue on with life.

If you were to get this fly two months from now in TX where the hospitals are over run and you couldnt get medical treatment you might very well die from it. I dont know when the hospitals will be over run down here. 2 weeks to 2 months is my guess. 2 months being a long shot. 2 weeks to 1 month being the sure thing. Pluckys going to be fine for a good long while and will be able to see it coming.

You know I was just about to read that email written by the doctor and I thought to myself...what if it's a spell! What if some combination of words or sounds in it actually triggers an illness in you?

What if Alex Jones isn't a friend and defender but a foe? Why in this whole great big country, with millions of Doctors who have written millions of emails no doubt about this Virus is this Email so special?

This is going to sound crazy...call it an academic curiousity...but if any of you read the entire email...and especially if any of you read it aloud say to a friend or relative in person or on the phone...I would be interested in knowing who did...and seeing if your alive and healthy a 10 days from now.

Alex Jones is just a show host, what he talks about isnt happening. Its been years now and nothing has come of what he said, why is he still around!

You might want to check the Board and realize there are a wide range of conspiracies and paranormal things discussed on ATS by people who have a broad range of interests as well as a very narrow range of interests.

There are some people on ATS who never get out of 9/11 Threads to check out the Gray Area, or the NWO, there are some people who never get off the UFO Threads to check out 911.

Then there are some people who enjoy finding out about them all.

Now please tell me what makes you feel there was anything remotely threatening about my post?

Exactly what Ive been saying. Until the hospitals are over run and the ventilating units are taken up here in the USA. We will not know the mortality rate of this virus. Anyone speaking about the mortality rate like its a joke before this happens knows absolutely nothing that they are talking about and should be put on ignore / foe list. No one can know the mortality rate until the hospitals are over run. Exactly what I said several days ago and what the Dr's are saying now.

You know I am not going to take sides here, but I dont think you give that man as much credit as he deserves. I dont wanna sound like I am "Obamanized" by the man, just stating my own facts.
Out of all of the broadcasters out there, how many of them are actually trying to do something to get information out to people as much as they can ? How many people do you see like Jones out there on the streets making an ass out of themselves trying to get people to wake up?
Not many. Hell if its not him, who then? Who can you trust? Nobody right?
They are all dis info agents, right>? So whats the point in trying to change the way the world works if you cant trust anyone ? Alex Jones is one of those types of people that you HAVE to trust when it comes to information, he is the king of information, he eats, sleeps, and craps it out all day long.
Now I can understand why some of you dont like the guy because of his attitude or some of his remarks, but his job isnt to make you like him, his job is to get information out, just like the rest of you. Once you start slamming your brothers in arms, you are only destroying your own cause.
Ive listened to Alex Jones for sometime now every now and then, and to tell you the truth, Im glad theres people out there like him, hes got bigger balls than most people that I have come across. I trust him more than I do my own government thats for sure, and hey, if he turns out to be a "dis-info" agent, then what does that tell the whole world? It tells us we really dont have anymore patriots left in this country to stand up for what is right, and that would be a sad day. I dont believe that though, I still believe that there are people out there with hearts that are looking out for us little guys, and when we cast them out, we are casting ourselves out and everything we have been working so hard for.

Come on, so you mean there is a conspiracy among ALL virologists and speicalized MDs on earth ? I know for sure that many of them have so high standards and morale that they would rather die than withold information that could possibly save human lives, something they have sworn to do (Hippocratic Oath) by the way. I fully trust the many bodies of my government that is working on this "swine influenza" issue just now, i know they are best suited to handle the situation.

Besides the doctor in the above letter that "leaked" a private e-mail on the internet, who else think different from WHO,CDC, ECDC etc and then i mean specialists, virologists.
