So I'm watching TV with my wife last night.
and the dogs go on alert.
I look out the window, it's dark, and I see these characters acting goofy at the end of my street. bright lights, and reflections..I walked outside, and see that it's obviously some kids with Guitars, trying to get photos of themselves. With the view of the town as a backdrop.
They weren't causing any trouble, but I know my neighbors are "old farts" if you know what I mean. Someone would have called the cops.

So I stood out there with them, to lend a little local flavor..
Even brought my Truck up to provide more lighting.
I didn't want them to get into trouble, because they weren't doing anything wrong!
They took their photos. Then they VERY POLITELY introduced themselves individually.
I was impressed at their politeness, and the fact that they thanked me.

So, I thought I would link to their myspace page. Just to show them we're not all "old farts".

to my surprise, they're pretty good!!. Although they claim to be punk/pop, but have not been influenced by the Pixies..LOL

And there is this, from their page:

they only have one goal....to make David Hasselhoff cry.

give them a little traffic!

Not bad actually...

I like "Acoustic" the best.

Are you going to be on the cover?

Well thanks!
Imagine my surprise the "youth of America" lined up and shook my hand.
Their moms should be proud.

Hey S-dog, I always do my best to stay BEHIND the camera..LOL

I know some of these kids from downtown. They're always down there. I was actually surprised how much talent is in this town when it comes to the young kids. Alot of them have good taste in music too.

Encouraging young musicians reserves you a space in the "sainthood" dept of ONE WHO Applauds.

I probably wouldn't be playing today if it weren't for some "ole dudes" encouragement.

Ever go down to the open mike night? It's at one of the coffee houses on the river..I can't remember the name of it..I've only gone once, but there were a couple of pretty talented people there. And some non-talents as well!

I'm a spoken word poet actually. I read at Java Jungle every Monday, and I do the Spoken Views production every third Thursday at the Sierra Arts Center on Virginia right next to Dreamers Coffeehouse. You should come down some time.

That's a really good professional quality shot. Good thing you helped, without those halogens backlighting them it wouldn't have turned out quite as good.

Hey, that's cool. I just might do that.
My wife is healing from a broken foot, but I know she'd love to head downtown sometime soon.
