Blackhawk circling Coral Gables Florida

Currently there is a Black hawk helicopter doing a sweep of coral gables.
They have been going up and down streets from Miracle Mile and 37th ave to the biltmore hotel to the west.

Not sure what is going on but it's a bit scary.

A lot of local law enforcement agencies use blackhawks so maybe the police are just doing some observation or something.

Out here were I live, I got spooked talked to some people, Drug farms are usually what there looking for.

No worries, but if you have any info that suggests otherwise, well bring it on, and we'll analyze it.

No Black Hawks in west Broward, I did see a Sheriff Helicopter about 45 minutes or so ago, but it wasn't doing sweeps or anything.

Yep i saw it going to work this morning on I-95.. it caught my attention.. didn't snap a picture though. I saw it neard broward blvd at about 9:30am. Last night i saw a police helicopter with spotlight up in the pompano area... don't know if it's related

I just spoke to a coworker who was out smoking. He said the chopper came by again close enough to see that there was a guy with a camera of some sort filming.

It's been a quieter than usual day for helicopters here in Miami Beach. We normally get Coast Gaurd flyovers hugging the beach and occassionaly Miami Dade Police Choppers.

My guess if it's Coral Gables they are looking at S.W. 8th Street and possibly the headquarters of the Cuban American Groups that maintain well armed and well trained militias for the never to arrive day when there is another Bay of Pigs style invasion of Cuba staged from South Florida.

We all know from the Elian Gonzalez episode the Federal Government in Washington D.C. understands it only has nominal control over Miami.

Let's face it we likely only have the only CIA trained private militias that are very anti-communist and anti-socialist. We have a huge concentration of highly armed and homicidal Narco Trafficers, we have the largest Ex-Felon population in the United States not to mention Foreign Intelligence Officers who have infiltrated Customs at the Port of Miami.

Something tells me when the SHTF in Miami it's going to have one heck of a blowback and the Feds know it and are likely trying to plan for it.

It wouldn't surprise me if half the weapons in the National Gaurd Armory have long gone missing too.

I love this town!

The feds don't have any control.

City of Miami PD on the other hand has the experience and know how on how to handle large crowds.
They displayed this to good effect during the that world trade meeting WTO some years back in 2004.
Those anarchists didn't do very well in down town miami.
I was rooting for the cops during that debacle.

Yes Cheif Timmony himself was out there on a bicycle if I recall and they kept property damage to a minimum and had good cause to be cautious after what had happened in that Argentinian resort town at the WTO meeting before that.

I am all for peaceful protest but don't tear up the little person's business or place of employment and make life harder on them.

Miami is split up into a lot of different Police Departments with all the incoprorated and unincorporated areas.

One thing is for sure though, the Federal Government did not trust the City of Miami Police Department during the Elian Gonzalez episode or the City of Miami's Mayor, or the Miami Branch of the ATF and FBI.

I saw in another thread yesterday someone claiming that Census Inspectors were using hand held GPS devices to map out the exact coordinates of various homes. A few people responding to the thread claimed to have had Census Inspectors show up at their doors with these devices.

Maybe it's possible that is what the Black Hawk was doing, some sort of mapping study?
