The only lack of bandwidth i keep experiencing is when TimeWarner
cuts service to everyone but their own subscribers.

here in this tourist town of myrtle beach, TWC owns the cable franchise territory..but must by law provide access over their cable lines to other ISPs,
(now just how much bandwidth ISPs like Earthlink get is questionable, unanswerable)
but from my first hand experience, TWC cuts off my 'always ON' internet service by tweeking the hardware device AKA modem,
into sending microsoft a message that my modem (Scientific-Atlanta is having 'problems' & is given a (Code 43)....
which disables my internet access.... and allows only the remaining TWC
customers to use the area Servers.

Today my service was from 5:22AM-7:00AM then it restarted at 11:22PM
up to the present time of 12:06AM Friday morning

Wednesday, my internet access lasted from 6:05AM-9:00AM...
was off all day until 8:15PM-till i retired for the day at 11:00PM
(the internet access might have lasted until until the Thursday 5:22AM
with 'Earthlink'....who knows?

the point being that unless one subscribes to their 'Road-Runner service'
your whole day is without internet service or bandwidth, because the
limited number of servers in the areas Infrastructure can only provide
for the TWC subscribers..... all us other paying customers are in the
tough beans category...

Where are all the equal rights/liberals and ACLU social-rights Advocates on this blatent 'Fraud' & 'Censorship' & 'Denial-Of-Service' issue ?

Actually, the Scientific-Atlanta modems ARE having problems. The manufacturer is constantly releasing firmware patches to resolve issues, but no such luck yet. Time Warner isn't the only company affected by that.

Edit: I want to add that the error code should be 403, not 43.

Oh... lol... it's FOX.

For a moment there I thought a reputable news source had just thrown away their credibility.

This has been said many times in the past.
I remember back during the 56K Baud days, they were saying that there's no way the Internet can handle any more traffic. ... lol.

It's another case of people fresh out of school with no real experience, looking at the numbers and freaking out... completely forgetting that technology evolves. We advance it to meet our needs... if our needs grow exponentially, so will technology.

... it's like those wannabe inventors that get frustrated, give up, and go on the news declaring that there is nothing left to invent, we've done it all.

Not surprised to see such a narrow view coming from FOX.
They aren't exactly capable of thought.
