Moderate Arabs are people who understand that the path to peace is through discussion and negotiation, not through suicide bombs and rockets.

Moderate Jews are people that share the Palestinians' desire for self-governance and look forward to a future where Jews and Palestinians can share the land and resources peacefully.

I have enough faith in human nature to believe that these people are the majority, even though the issue is constantly hijacked by the radical minority (on both sides).

The reason that selling land to a Jew is justification for death is because that's how so many Jews?Israelis came to own their land in Israel.

Islamic propaganda aside, many Jews/Israelis did in fact buy their land, and later, the local Muslims began raising hell about it, and then choafed on the deal. Saying it was "taken."

No it wasn't. And the PA knows it. Israelis have taken a relatively barren land and have transformed it into lush greenery, where for centuries previously, it was just barren, non-productive land.

It really chaps the (butt) cheeks that a Muslim would sell a Jew/Israeli their land, when everyone in Islam knows that once controlled by Muslims, always controlled by Muslims.

So the sale of land to Jews/Israelis is a real sore spot.

Thus the penalty for continuing the practice.

A lot of Palestinians would just as soon take the money and run elsewhere.

But if they're all gone, having sold out, then there would be no justification for all the conflict.

Pullleeeeaaase.

Jew's? Why do you consistently bring people's religions into the conversation. We are debating the crimes of the Israeli state. Religion is a side issue.

Jews make up about three-quarters of the population of Israel. When you speak of the "Israeli state," you are speaking of a country that is comprised of mostly Jews.

I wonder about the motivation of those who pretend this isn't a factor in how Israel is viewed around the world.

I have a few things to point out.
Firstly this thread is about Turkey running a military training with Syria.

Turkey is currently mediating a peace between Israel and Syria, possibly doing this to gain some trust from the Syrians.

regarding the issues that this conversation led to, well, you cant really argue that Israel is a peace loving nation. Believe me mate, Israel is not the Sweden of the middle east.

Yes, some of the land was bought, this is how all this started, but take into consideration how much more landed has been taken over, take into consideration the brute force used by Israel against Palestinian kids.

And take into consideration, if you possibly can, that Israel decided to boy cut funds that were due to palatine when the Palestinians chose to DEMOCRATICALLY elect the wrong side to win the elections (Hamas).

im sure your cable was off when the last Gaza war was taking place.

on a further note, you can make a difference between Jews and Zionists/Israelis. just like you there is a difference between Muslims and suicide bombers.. etc..
