I am sure many of you have watched "What the bleep do we know" and if you haven't I can only urge you to see it.
www.youtube.com...
Basically a documentary on reality, quatum physics and how our mind influences matter around us. It is true that we are all linked to the universe and
that our consciousness can act on our environment.
A lot of people focus on 2012 as a crucial date in our history and expect/want/fear of something to happen. Just like optimists seem to have more luck
and pessimists are the victims.
All those thoughts by themselves may create this event to happen. What sorts of events may happen because of this I dont know, but at the quantum
level anything can happen, when we can only observe erratic result on a small scale, who knows what a global consciousness can create?
Now it is entirely possible that 2012 does hold the outcome of ancient prophecies but even if it doesnt I fear it is bound to happen anyways because
of us.

For ages, prophecies have been, and will continue to be, fulfilled - as God intended for them to.
No matter what we "think" or what a youtube video tells us we "think".
If you want to stay on top of what's happening today, and what's coming, check your local Bible. It scoops FoxNews, as well as CNN.

I agree that our thoughts, especially when focused, have a great influence on reality.
Whatever ends up manifesting for 2012 will happen in such a way as to be believable by everyone. Such is the nature of free-will, or a shared reality
in which we are all co-creators.

Thats all well and good, in theory. And 'if' this was the case and we can infulence the future, the fact is 2012 awareness does not extend to
everybody, infact the majority of the worlds population wouldnt even know what you are on about when it comes to 2012, and out of the ones left that
do most people dismiss it as a joke anyway. AThe people who believe this tend to have already made their views public in one way or another, and i
would guess the vast majority of them would be on sites like ATS and others. Basically the conciousness of a few( and i mean less than 5%) would
hardly be enough to change the future.

I've actually been thinking the same thing lately.
I believe that our minds are powerful and if we, collectively, believe that 2012 will be a significant year, it may very well be. Unfortunately, this
could mean that we're in for disaster since so many believe 2012 will be a tragic time.
I'm glad I read your post before I posted the thought in a new thread myself!

If we idolly sit back and let the most influential crazies of us have their way... the delusional armageddon wet dreams they indulge in will become a
reality, just from their sheer determination to put their self-fulfilling prophesy to the test. Here's a segment that Bill Moyer's did on Christians
United For Israel that fully illustrates my point. These people really scare me.

Somthing will happen in 2012, because we know that there are mysterious facts that surround black holes but they remain mysterious (as we cant explain
them, only put theory to them). Recently prooven that we shall be aligned with the center of our milky way on 21 / 12 / 2012 which is guess what yes a
black hole. Now what affect will this have on the earth?. Im expecting violant earth quakes and volcano eruptions. (why do i?) Because they seem to be
increasing in activity year by year. And the theory behind black holes seem to be that they cause a large amount of magnetic energy, which i can guess
may affect our sun and our planets magnetic fields. Now will it be life threatening. We can only ponder this and truth will come in time.
I am %75 sure 2012 isnt just hype theres to many evidences of climate changes throughout our solar system.
Also evidences that the earth has changed climates around the planet many times (i think its 7 times at least we have prooven)
God Bless Regards Flashor >.

I think you put forward a good point..
Furthering the point, I think it is plausable that something big and prophetic could happen in 2012...but I'm not worried about it..what worries me,
like you, are the loonies out there actively pursuing the prophecy and trying to bring about Armageddon and the like.
Yes, there are people out there that are just crazy enough to be looking forward to the end of the world, to the point of trying to make sure it
happens...
...me, I'm just hoping the end/shift/reset/silence isn't too destructive...

lol i dont wish it to happen personally, but im aware it is possible and theres evidences to say such events which i speak of have happened before. I
dont think it will be doomsday 2012 but i am aware that its possible that somthing may happen. And if its linked to being in alignment in theory it
will slowly get worse climax then improve again (the climate i mean) seems to be happening. Must be the green house effect though right? Strange how
all the planets in our solar system are heating up. FACT!

Actually, the Earth has been experiencing a state of global cooling over recent years. In fact, between 1945 and 1975, the Globe cooled even though
CO2 rose.

I would be interested to know the source of your claim that all Planets in our Solar System are heating if possible.

Our planet was cooling down until 1975. Yes, of course that has to do with the 34 years after that.
But personally? Something will happen in 2012. It's called a self-fufilling prophecy. That will be the date when the Men Behind the Men step out.
Whatever name they go by.

I agree, just looking at all the established religions on earth that have some sort of end-time thing in their gospel, put the new age people in there
with their 2012 [whatever] en realize that about 80/90% of the global population at least has some affinity with one of those religious/spiritual(ish)
constructs you can bet your behind that something is cooking. So it could be a self fulfilling prophecy of monstrous proportions or just maybe
something is up no matter what and people are feeling it in their gut. Anyway, i really believe there will be a time of change/opportunity that is
neutral in potential and we the inhabitants of this earth can choose wich way to go, regretfully willingly or not we seem to choose the 'blow
everything to hell and back'
I believe that people that do not have any realization what 2012 is about are neutral and do not side with the ones activaly thinking nothing will
happen, a little bit like the difference between atheist and agnostic and intent is a lot more powerful than non-intent. Too bad most religions have
some doomsday thing in their prophecy and not some big loving hugfest, would be nice to get through the whole thing partying hard .

I like to think of it as some universal good working and free commmutally shared captaincy of the spaceship earth. Only seen from some higher
perspective that most people cannot consciously connect to for [whatever reason]. So even you and me have some say in it but it works with somekind of
quantitative intent regulation. If 60% fear some apocalyps and 40% expect some kind of liberating endtime it will play out along those lines and mixes
it together.
Just my brainfart though, could be totally wrong .

This whole idea that the collective conscious could actually bring about the end of the world is complete nonsense. Think back to ten years ago in
1999. Everyone went on about Y2K and how it was going to be the end of the world. Systems would shut down, everything would fall apart, and there
would be mass chaos. Then the year 2000 came and what happened? Nothing. Everything went on without a hitch. I can guarantee you that the same thing
will happen in 2012. You will look back at this and feel silly. Or who knows, maybe you will quickly forget just like you forgot the mania leading up
to Y2K in spite of the fact that nothing happened. Then you will just find another doomsday theory to cling on to.
I'm especially amused by theflashor and his dubious claims with regard to the temperature on other planets as well as the "alignment" of
astronomical bodies. Can we see a source on that? Or did you just read it somewhere and immediately accept it as fact?

May I point out that the Aztec calendar, which has been emensly accurate up to this point, ends on the twenty first of December in 2012. It may be
some weird phenominon, or something to that effect, but I don't believe that it will be the end of the world (so sorry, you will still have to go
Christmas shopping).
More feasible in my mind is the giant asteroid that is headed for a near collision course for the Earth and will pass by us in the mid 2020s and come
back in the mid 2030s. I do believe that something big will happen in 2012, that will most likely cause a chain of events to occur, and eventually
lead to the end of the world.

Something will happen in 2012 and here is Why
We often take the roots of Western Civilization for granted. Yes, we are taught by convention that such roots find a strong hold in Mesopotamia around
3500 B.C. But, have you ever stopped to ask yourself how deep those roots go, and better yet, "who planted the tree?" It is very likely that the
key to understanding the founding of the world's great cities and civilizations rests on a fundamental understanding of giants, or as the Bible calls
them, Nephilim. These creatures were the offspring of fallen angels and human females, and according to scripture, contributed to the very downfall of
antediluvian society (Genesis 6). Some of them, it would seem, even survived the great deluge, cropping up in later millennia under various other
names, such as the Old Testament's Rephaim and Anakim. The perseverance of their race could account for many of the world's great cities or
monuments. If we broaden the Biblical interpretation of this colossal line of creatures to include world mythology, then possibilities emerge after
the most cursory of glances at man's religions. In extrabiblical sources, such as The Book of Enoch, one can find the very work of transforming
hunter-gatherers into a more sophisticated society. The fallen angels waste no time in developing a scheme to influence man for their own ends. We are
told that under the guidance of their leader Semyaza, the fallen angels trade knowledge and technology for access to human females for the purposes of
breeding offspring. To the great misfortune of mankind, civilization was a high price to pay for what would soon become oppression and violence. At
any rate, the fallen angels along with the Nephilim taught men metallurgy, war craft, farming, husbandry, and a host of other bodies of knowledge
defining civilizations. The great Mesopotamian hunter and king, Nimrod, is often regarded as a giant. We read clearly in Genesis of his renown, no
doubt contributing to the memories preserved by Abraham, himself born of Sumeria. Consequently, Nimrod is also credited with having built the Tower of
Babel, preserved to us in image as a ziggurat, one of the stepped temples of ancient Mesopotamian society. The very Cradle of Civilization provides an
early example civilization and its connection to the giants of old. Egypt, whose legends whisper to us in the present, was most likely not without
its own giant origins. At least as much may be said about its monuments, and in particular the pyramids. Some scholars who entertain historical ideas
outside of convention, such as Patrick Heron, posit that the antediluvian giants constructed the pyramids. This design spread with them as they spread
to other lands east and west of the Holy Land. In the Old Testament, we get a picture of the descendants of these giants. You may recall from Sunday
School that the spies Moses sent into Canaan on the eve of its conquest were all terrified save Joshua and Caleb. They related that they were as
"grasshoppers" compared to these enormous men. Jewish tradition tells us that one giant, Arba, built the great fortified city of Hebron. Another
giant, Og, who allegedly had survived the great flood, ruled over Bashan, a vast kingdom northeast of the Sea of Galilee. Moving away from the Near
East leaves one with no fewer examples of giant-founded societies. Most of us remember to some extent the myths we were taught in grade school about
the Greeks and the Romans. Scholars have long been aware of the influence of the Near East on Greek ideas and religion. Similar residues may be found
in the pottery and art of ancient Greece, an indicator of trade with Phoenicians and other peoples of the Near East, and something known to scholars
as "orientalizing." The very gods were all believed to hail from Mesopotamia, Anatolia, Egypt, and other lands to the east. As for feats of
city-building, Poseidon and Apollo were believed to have built the great walls of Troy. The Greeks also contended that the Cyclopian giants had built
the city of Mycenae. In the case of the Romans, we learned that the twins Romulus and Remus, descendants of the great Trojan refugee Aeneas, founded
Rome. For obvious reasons, teachers leave out the gory details which Roman historian Livy relates to us. Mars, god of war, raped the Vestal Virgin
Rhea Sylvia, and the products of this violation were Romulus and Remus. The twins, as with other children sired by gods, were of great stature.
Somewhere between myth and history, we learn that Romulus built the city of Rome in the eighth century AD, promptly after killing his brother. The
conditions of their conception, their size, and their violence all smack of traits borne by the Nephilim. Even beyond the scope of Western
Civilization proper, evidence of giant engineering abounds, as do the legends pertaining to such structures. German mythology relates to us that the
walls of Asgard were built by a frost giant to separate the realm of the gods from that of the giants, known as Niflheim (which is phonetically
similar to Nephilim). Mesoamericans, likewise had firm ideas about the origins of their civilization and giants. The Maya believed their civilization
to have been founded by giants. The Aztecs too, believed their cities and their society had been established by giants and gods. The great monuments
of Machu Pichu, the earthen tombs of China, Angkor Wat, the great earthen pyramid of the ancient Indian city of Cahokia-they all speak to engineering
feats that defy foundations in human sweat and toil alone. If you look, you can see that our civilization bears the touch of humanity. A closer look
still, reveals the possibility of deeper roots and gigantic origins. The next time you look at the photo album from your Egypt trip, watch a
documentary on Mesopotamia, or thumb through that humanities text you just couldn't throw away, pause. Pause and ask yourself "what does the
evidence say, and who founded these societies?" You just may find the maker's mark of the Nephilim in subtle imprint.
Go to e-zine articles and you can find it.
www.biblecodedigest.com...
The Maya claim they are the descendants of what would be known as the Biblical Nephilim. Often mistranslated as "giants." Just what are they? They
are what we know today to be aliens and UFOs. Rods. Ghosts. All of them. Demons are the "disembodied" spirits of these hybrids between the fallen
sons of God and human women. They will return a lot smaller this time (and just as huge) aka gray alien/ literal giant alien embodiment.
