Good point. The Chinese have been ambivalent about whether this stuff is mythical or real. A mythical king does not author books, thats right.The further back stuff is, the more difficult it is to find out what actually happened...

I find it interesting how Taboos surrounding certain issues are culturally ingrained. Most cultures have some kind of Taboo about their Gods and Pyramids.

To be honest, I think that saying that our ancestors accounts are "fiction" or "mythology" is much more of an insult to them.

This topic tho' has really peaked my interest after reading the responses from skeptics i.e phage, so i logged in again to put in my own small observation.

With all these pyramids around the place it makes me wonder why pyramids?

Have you ever sat at the beach and let sand fall through your hands?
It forms a conical shape with the base being a circle (the strongest of all shapes) Ever seen an egg timer?

Why did the ancients build MOUNDS that were triangular that line up with longitudes and latitudes? were they dumb or liked the aesthetic look? (all over the world !!!)

Surely it would have been easier to build a big cone if you wanted to erect a large edifice with all that uneducated (perhaps slave) manpower.

Excellent thread. Most of the information given was new to me, and I'm quite surprised that I had never heard of the pipes given I had researched so-called ooparts for a number of years.

Just one thing, given you're discussing ancient Chinese knowledge and technology I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the I-ching, given it's age and its notoriety for being not only a system of divination that seems to work, but also due to the knowledge seemingly hidden within it relating to DNA and fractal causality and Chaos Theory etc, there has been countless works done on the I-ching, an interesting book I read was by Katya Walters called DNA and the I-ching, theres much more from countless researchers notably Terence Mckenna. I don't have the time to go into to detail giving links right now regarding the I-ching, perhaps somebody else could? Or I might see what I can do later.
