There aren't any examples of fire breathing animals, let alone fire breathing lizards/ dragons. No fossil evidence or decendents of such creatures. Like minotaurs, centaurs and gorgons, dragons are an imaginative human creation. Nobody argues that minotaurs, centaurs or gorgons existed, so why should dragons be any different? Therefore, if dragons are imaginary, any extrapolation from their folklore/ mythology towards the physical presence of ancient spacecraft in history becomes redundant.

Maybe ET visited us in ancient times...who knows? Translating dragons into alien spacecraft seems to be overworking the available information.

Hi Kandinsky!

We are not entirely making things up here as we go along, but taking certain 'myths' and certain anomalous facts and putting them side-by-side. As to the fossil record, it is always changing, as we have just seen with the Florensian 'Hobbits'.

It is important to keep in mind that everything the 'traditional academic everyone' thinks they know changes and gets thrown into question with one discovery. These discoveries are not made without hypothesis', exploration and the questioning beyond what one is taught to get their piece of expertise paper.

the existence or non-existence of dragons really holds no import. it's fairly reasonable to deduce that dragon mythology is ancient in china, and as i can't think of any other large flying creatures that also deal with fire existing in chinese mythology, it would also be reasonable to deduce that the dragon would then be the most likely thing to compare to something extraterrestrial. in the ancient chinese mind that is. all chinese peoples in that time period would know the stories and mythology surrounding dragons, and when confronted with something extraordinary such as say an alien craft, i can see where they would say "holy crap that's a metal dragon!".

mythology is a very important thing to culture, both modern and ancient. the continued disdain with which it is treated is saddening. i believe the saying goes "all myths hold a bit of truth", it may very well turn out to be that these ancient peoples saw things that were so extraordinary that they could only compare it to "monster stories" the elders told. and while it's also possible that nothing of the sort happened, it's the steadfast refusal by many in the professional fields to even consider these things that , i believe, holds back the retrieval of knowledge which could redefine our commonly accepted place in both history, and the universe.

Elongated skulls anybody?
I believe there are plenty of ATS threads about this.

Very interesting indeed.

The Huns were known to wrap infants sculls to make them elongated just like certain Thai tribes put increasing number of rings around their daughter's necks to make them longer.

An interesting taste in physical manipulation but really no different than circumsision and hardly proof of aliens.

I don't see how skeptical persons can continue to ignore the evidence that shows advanced, ancient pyramids and other highly advanced structures all over the world. It is nearly impossible for all of these immensely spatially and temporally separated civilizations to have all created the same thing by chance! The evidence is right infront of our eyes.

Without using modern materials, a pyramid is the highest structure that can be built. The design of a pyramid is not advanced and is developed through trial and error. The Chinese pyramids are built of dirt.

Maybe so,but the geometric accuracy involved and the fact that major civilizations all over the world developed them at different times says to me that some single force had to be behind the basic design.I am sure with you being a skeptic you agree that the chances of all these civilizations(China,Egypt,Central America, etc) building the same things at different times with no contact between them to share knowledge are astronomical.Your theory could could be,but it isn't likely IMO.

Yes, a single force is behind the basic design of a pyramid. The human desire to build tall structures. That, and gravity. Combine the two and you end up with a pyramid...every time.

Chinese, Mayan, and Egyptian pyramids are so dissimilar in so many ways (including timing) that to attribute their creation to the same outside influence is absurd.
