A police officer called to help a drunken woman get home safely instead raped her as she lay semiconscious and facedown in her bed while his partner acted as a lookout, prosecutors alleged Tuesday.

Looks like another example of the misuse of power from those who are supposed to protect us.

Well, I hope they go to jail and have thier anal cavaties reamed by a guy named Bubba. Just sayin, how can we ever expect to trust those who have authority over us, if this is the abuse of power that they like to do. No wonder there are sooo many paranoid peeps. I know not all cops are this way, but it sure gives them a bad name. I hope he goes in with an a**hole and out with a manhole.

There's something not right with this story. First off:

Her blood alcohol level was at least double the legal limit for driving, investigators said, when her friends put her in a taxi and told the driver to take her to her apartment.

OK, how was this discerned? Further:

Moreno's attorney said the investigation took months because prosecutors were unsure about the case.

"They had concerns, some questions about the accuracy of the complainant's version of what occurred," Worth said.

There was no DNA evidence recovered, but prosecutors said Moreno admitted he used a condom during the assault.

WHAT? They were unsure about the case but buddy admits to using a condom? There's got to be more to this.

That's certainly one possibility. There are others though.

The paper isn't printing ALL the facts.

The sex was consentual is another.

Another very good possibility. I hear too many stories of consentual sex turning into rape.
