Sebelius sworn in as U.S. health secretary

www.newsdaily.com

WASHINGTON, Apr. 28, 2009 (Reuters) — Former Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius was sworn in as U.S. health secretary on Tuesday in an Oval Office ceremony attended by President Barack Obama just hours after the Senate confirmed her nomination.

"We wanted to swear her in right away because we've got a significant public health challenge that requires her immediate attention, and that is the H1N1 flu outbreak," Obama told reporters.

The confirmation of Sebelius allows Obama to fill the last open seat in his cabinet. Democrats said the swine flu outbreak made it all the more important to end the delay in filling that pivotal position

Interesting quote don't you think, Flu breaks out, she gets sworn in..makes you scratch your head doesn't it

she has attended a couple Bilderberg meetings

www.globalresearch.ca...

As the Financial Times reported in May of this year, Barack Obama appointed James A. Johnson, the former CEO of Fannie Mae, "to head a secret committee to produce a shortlist for his vice-presidential running mate." A short list was discussed by the article, which listed, other than Hillary Clinton, "Jim Webb, the former secretary of the navy, Vietnam veteran and senator for Virginia; Tim Kaine, the governor of Virginia; John Edwards, the former vice-presidential candidate in 2004; Ted Strickland, the governor of Ohio; and Kathleen Sebelius, the governor of Kansas." Other potential nominees include "Sam Nunn, the former chairman of the Senate armed services committee; and Wesley Clark, the former head of Nato in Europe."10

Notable among this year’s Bilderberg guests are Kansas Governor, Kathleen Sebelius, who the Financial Times reported was on Johnson’s short list of nominees. In fact, Sebelius is the only person mentioned as a possible running mate in the Financial Times article that was officially listed on the Bilderberg list of attendees.13 Could this be a sign that she may be the chosen one? Time will tell. However, another Democratic politician present at the meeting was Tom Daschle, so perhaps he is working his way back into politics.

Ok this seems to planned somehow.

Now on the flip side if it isn't "to planned" then it looks almost like a hasty decision because of the circumstances

Either way..................

Sen. Chuck Grassley is among the Republicans who expressed concern about campaign contributions that Sebelius received from a Kansas doctor, George Tiller, who performs late-term abortions. While Sebelius initially said that she received $12,450 from 1994 to 2001 from Tiller, she stated on April 14 that she had actually received $39,600 from Tiller, as the WSJ explains.

Never waste a crisis...

They were waiting for something like the flu scare to come along, so they could push this woman in with as little resistance as possible.

Yeah, this whole thing is a sham. The only US death to date was a 23-month-old infant, and forgive me for sounding cold, but that is a typical victim of any kind of flu.

This whole thing has been sensationalised, and I think we are starting to see why.

Guys even if the entire world knew she received contributions from that doctor she still wouldn't need a crisis to be sworned in.

that's a small small issue in the eyes of politics at the end of the day

The flu and her beign sworn in is irrelevant

what is relevant however is what will she do next and what will DHS do next.

That's all that matters really
