Konami Drops Six Days in Fallujah

Grabbing out attention this afternoon, a Konami representative has informed Asahi.com that they've decided to drop Atomic Games' controversial Iraq war-based military shooter "Six Days in Fallujah" due to an overwhelming amount of negative feedback since its announcement a few weeks ago. Here's the official statement:

"After seeing the reaction to the videogame in the United States and hearing opinions sent through phone calls and e-mail, we decided several days ago not to sell it," a publi

never has so much negative press and uproar been made about an upcoming `game` - most of the outrage so i understand was the ability to `call in ` white phophorus barrages , which the maker , asahi.com ,states is true to the real events, and includes `distant` shots of people burning up from the stuff.

fortunately the publisher listened - and didn`t want this aweful title maring its books.

likely though some small company will pick it up to make a name and get press.
