That my friends is what a real airplane looks like flying low. I think that this photo op is to answer a few questions that's on the Presidents mind.

What's funny is .... this plane is smaller but yet it looks big as [SNIP]!!!!.....this is what a REAL bright and clear day in New York looks like.....this is what a white commercial airliner would look like from a distance in direct sunlight. This is point blank...smoking gun proof. I would love for your responses!!!!

I think this plane is alot bigger then the ones used in 9/11. There are differant size 747, 757 and 777.

I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

Key word "LOOKS"

It LOOKS as big as the statue of liberty but drop it in to building height and you will see it at it's true size.

I've never been a huge fan of New York but I believe it's people should be completely pissed over this. How dare these morons scare people who witnessed 9/11 first hand like this. It's completely despicable and the people who pulled this stunt should be brought up on charges.

Well, that is the thingy with democracy, it should have mechanisms to prevent misuse of authority. Whatever happened to them? People got lazy? Consumerism distracting attention from fundamental social levers? Etc...

The planes that hit the building were 767 guys...bigger plane!!

The DOD would not answer specific questions about the promotional flight.

What I'd like to know is exactly what are they promoting? That one rings a little awkward.

Although the shoot was authorized, the normal system of public notification broke down, multiple officials said.

Such a claim sounds a little generic, amorphous and well-timed.

It sounds like the DOD just wanted to cause a freakout. Why would they want to provide any proof by comparison that planes weren't involved? It seems counterproductive to concealing any 'truth'.

Are you talking about the head of the plane...then yes it's bigger... but a 767 is way longer.

Basically irrellevent to the OP but there it is.
Around a 10% size difference.
747 is fatter so it looks a lot bigger
