Just saw on fox news that the PTB are not letting border agents wear maskes. They can only put the mask on if they seem someone that is visable sick and they have to take it off as soon as they are done speaking to that person.

I think the idiots that came up with that policy need to go out and do the inspections!!

Sorry but the 36K dead if for a KNOWN virus. This one is completly new to humanity and we don't know how it will react.

That is why that fuss. We don't have any vaccine ready, we don't know this thing, but we know the normal flu.

The thing is that they should not give the name Flu to hit, it is a new virus that is coming. Maybe it will be just fine, maybe not, but you can't compare with a normal virus that we know well.

Here is part six
WHO PHASE 6
Pandemic Period: Increased and sustained transmission in the general
population.
CDHS will:
Activate emergency plans for personnel, supplies, alternate care sites, and mass fatality management after the Governor’s declaration of a state of emergency;
• In conjunction with EMSA, the Department of Consumer Affairs, and the Governor’s
Office of Emergency Services, implement emergency orders and protocols related tohealthcare provider’s licensure, scope of practice, staffing requirements, patient capacity,
alternate care sites, healthcare volunteers, and the management of mass fatalities;
• Through the JEOC, monitor and coordinate the following activities in response to local
and regional resource requests transmitted through the Governor’s Office of Emergency
Services:
o use and supply of additional personnel;
o use and expansion of healthcare facilities, including alternate care sites and fatality
management resources;
o use and supply of equipment, supplies, and pharmaceuticals; and
o use and supply of healthcare transportation resources; and
• Monitor hospital care, alternate care sites, long term care facilities and alternate
standards/sufficiency of care as necessary to provide care deemed appropriate and
reasonable to provide care for most people.

WHO Postpandemic Period
Pandemic influenza is anticipated to arrive in two to three waves over the course of several
years, with a trough between the waves. These periods of substantial decreases in new cases
offer opportunities for recovery and a chance to regroup, learn, and prepare for the next wave.
CDHS will:
• Identify and share best practices related to information dissemination, clinical
management, infection control, coordination of patient management, and other issues;
• Compile reports of shortages to validate planning assumptions regarding critical supplies
and resources;
• Compile morbidity and mortality reports by treatment setting to understand how care
may best be provided;
• Evaluate the use of volunteers, expanded scope, alternate care sites, and other practices
used to expand/enhance surge capacity during the pandemic;
• Evaluate morbidity among hospital staff and the resulting impact on the provision of
care;
• Adjust guidance for the use of personnel, supplies, and facilities; and• Review and update guidance and recommendations issued during the previous phases.

Well that is the levels and how they are ment to guide the office's set up to take over when they have a pandemic.

More good info,thank you!

Kentucky Derby this weekend...lots and lots of people in airports and in a confined space.
People usually travel back and forth in buses to celebrations here so I'm wondering if there will be another small "wave" perhpas 10 days or so from now?

All those kids out of school running around as well,more out in restaurants.

I can say that there are usually about 100K in attendance at the Derby and that we in Louisville are all on alert and little uncomfortable with the huge numbers of people coming in from all over.

Obs out

At the risk of making an ass of myself AGAIN! lol But seriously, all soldiers on Fort Polk LA are being tested, and all of the hospital staff are being fitted for masks. Nothing outrageous there but at least my blond wife won't have to correct that part.

I know several from NY that are flying in...pretty young women who are meeting guys there,also students at the dental college.
I made their hats for them but have also called and seriously asked them to re-consider their plans.
They laughed at me,LOL!

Until "they" start presenting this in a more serious and careful manner (not to inspire panic) most will simply go on with life as usual.

I personally,being in South Texas and KNOWING for a fact that a "good party" will never be missed by many, am very concerned about all the Cinco de Mayo celebrations planned for next week in the area...is the "major" Hispanic holiday and many bring family up or go to Mexico to celebrate.

Something is deffinitely going on with the data we are all getting from the MSM.

Just look at this...

Mexico: 168 suspected deaths - eight confirmed US: one death, at least 91 confirmed cases New Zealand: 13 confirmed cases Canada: 19 confirmed cases UK: 5 confirmed cases Spain: 10 confirmed cases Germany: 3 confirmed cases Israel, Costa Rica: 2 confirmed cases each The Netherland, Switzerland, Austria, Peru: 1 confirmed case each

But they are actually saying this at the same time...

The EU's health commissioner has urged Europeans not to panic over swine flu, as ministers prepare for emergency talks on ways to contain the virus. "We have to exercise vigilance, we should not panic, we have to be prepared," Androulla Vassiliou said. The ministers are to discuss a possible EU-wide travel advisory for Mexico. The World Health Organization has raised the alert to level five, its second highest, and advised governments to activate pandemic contingency plans.

Omg are you people for real cant wait till this blows away and you guys can look back at this thread and think how foolish you all were for carrying on like this is the end of us all.. 80 K what a load of crap
why ad to the chaos .. if 36k die of flu each year just in the usa why such a fuss now?
cause the tv tells you to ?
enough of the madness ATS you guys need to get half a life .. and maybe enjoy it before you get hit by a truck or something
swine flu is killing no one compared to normal flu
but if its the first story on every news break them wow must be true
cause rupert merdoch wouldnt have tv lie to us now would he????

How old are you?

Why such a fuss now? Because, 36,000 die WHEN THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE have been innoculated against the virus. NO ONE can be innoculated against this virus, and it won't go away. It has spread across the entire world. It is a few weeks old, and to top all that off, it incubated and was borne against all odds, in 90-100 degree temperatures.

YOU are the one that needs to get half a life and actually put some thought into what you see and hear.
