Wow, your right about the super terminator seeds.
Check this out:
www.treehugger.com...

Looks like over 1500 farmers in India have committed suicide!
The seeds take too much water to cultivate and the water table has dropped so much that all of the crops have failed.
We can not let that happen here.

They say it tastes just like pork! Thankfully it's one thing that does not taste just like Chicken. I could get behind trying something that isn't sold as tasting just like Chicken!

When the Aztecs would make human sacrifices to their G-ds they would role the corpses unceremoneously down the steep steps to the temple where they crowds would quickly sieze upon them to begin preparing them for feasting.

I honestly don't know if I could ever be hungry enough to dine on a human being, I am still contemplating less threatening things like Lima Beans and Chic Peas. I did finally try asparagus! Not bad with some kind of sauce!

I personally do believe that the world is tragically over populated. I don't believe it is too over populated to produce enough food stocks I believe it's too over populated to sustain our current industrialized foot print and the wholesale raping of the eco system and resources.

I have not been able to decide if it's the Powers that Be greed in breeding us excessively as consumers for their financial and political profit or if it's fear on the part of the Powers that Be that the one thing people will revolt against is strictly controlled breeding.

I really think it's a problem common sense would suggest is evident in things we see all over the world from polution, to mass starvation and hunger, to the contrived economic crisis gripping the globe, to the squalor and blight of many inner cities.

Americans can talk about restoring the Constitution, Europeans can talk about restoring their civil liberties, Africans can talk about eliminating the last vestiges of Colonialism, Middle Easterners can talk about eliminating Western influence and hedgemony in their region, and Asians can likewise talk about ridding Western influence from theirs, but I really believe no solution is a real solution until we start responsibily talking about how to breed wisely.

The very notion rankles a lot of feathers and no one likes to admitt or think they are part of the problem.

It's a problem that is not going to go away in any more pleasant way than the people themselves recognizing it and taking steps to correct it with out having to be directed to as children or slaves to do so.

If you are the conservative type that ever wondered what happened to good old fashioned American Values, understand that things like Homo Sexuality, chronic drug use and addiction that leads to extended or life long incarceration and decreased living wages are all things that help to keep the population from exploding and to reduce it.

In fact it's working with White Americans with both Black Americans, and Hispanic Americans forecasted to surpass Whites in numbers in the over the course of the next two decades.

It's a shame that only married couples can't simply wisely choose to have only one child to replace the both of them with all over the world. That would make a sizeable dent in it and make Ted's predictions something that might not ever have to come to pass.

Humbly written sincerely meant!

how food supply control will lead to depopulation:

ajority has focused on adverse health and environmental impact; almost none on the geo-politics of GM seeds, and particularly seeds as a weapon of mass destruction. Engdahl has addressed this issue but the crop seed is one of the many "Seeds of Destruction" in this book.

Engdahl carefully documents how the intellectual foundations of 'eugenics,' mass culling of the sick, coloured, and otherwise disposable races, were actually first established, and even legally approved, in the United States. Eugenics research was financially supported by the Rockefeller and other elite families and first tested on Jews under Nazi Germany.

It is purely by chance that world's poorest nations also happen to be best endowed with natural resources. These regions are also the ones with growing population. The fear among European ruling families, increasingly, integrating with economic and military might of the United States, was that if the poor nations became developed, the abundant natural resources, especially oil, gas, and strategic minerals and metals, may become scarcer for the white population. That situation was unacceptable to the white ruling elite.

he central question that dominated the minds of the ruling clique was population reduction in resource rich countries but the question was how to engineer mass culling all over the world without generating powerful backlash as it was bound to happen. When the US oil reserves peaked in 1972 and it became a net oil importer, the situation became alarming and the agenda took the centre stage. Kissinger, one of the key strategists of Nixon, nurtured by the Rockefellers, prepared what is known as National Security Study Memo (NSSM#200), in which he elaborated his plan for population reduction. In this Memo he specifically targets thirteen countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, Thailand, and The Phillipines.

The weapon to be used was food; even if there was a famine food would be used to leverage population reduction. Kissinger is on record for stating, "Control oil, you control nations; control food and you control the people." How a small group of key people transformed the elitist philosophy, of controlling food to control people, into realistic operational possibility within a short time is the backdrop of Engdahl's book, the central theme running from the beginning till the end with the Rockefellers and Kissinger, among others, as the key dramatis personae.

He describes how the Rockefellers guided the US agriculture policy, used their powerful tax-free foundations worldwide to train an army of bright young scientists in hitherto unknown field of microbiology. He traces how the field of Eugenics was renamed "genetics" to make it more acceptable and also to hide the real purpose. Through incremental strategic adjustments within a handful of chemical, food and seed corporations, ably supported by the key persons in key departments of the US Government, behemoths were created that could re-write the regulatory framework in nearly every country. And these seeds of destruction of carefully constructed regulatory framework- to protect the environment and human health- were sown back in the 1920s.

Freaky stuff. I am a Vegan and find this really disturbing. Cannibalism is one of my darkest fears. On both ends.
I was searching for Edgar Casey predictions of cannibalism and ran across this instead.
Anyone know any other stats on cannibalism?
I live in LA and heard we would turn to cannibalism in 3 weeks if supplies stopped being brought to us. Maybe sooner.

I personally think squirrels and worms would be a better choice than cannibalism.

We just need to stock up on spices. We could have Cajun, worms, hot and spicy worms, garlic worms, sweet and sour worms.

Though seriously. I heard a warning a while back that if every American ate 4 to 5 servings of vegetables and fruits a day there wouldn’t be enough NOW.

Not many follow the food pyramid. I wasn’t poking fun at you. I have lots of survival books. You should buy one on wild plants.

I know most tubers and roots are eatable even if the plant is poisonous.

Careful who you call a moron. You are mis-un/informed. Ted Turner has not "run his station" for a number of years since he sold his empire to Time-Warner. TW management has changed CNN content to the point that Ted Turner has stated publicly that selling his broadcast units to Time-Warner was a huge mistake on his part. The fact that he founded CNN, and before that got his local TV channel on satellite distribution, delivered to much of the US population, makes him somewhat of a visionary, at least as far as US broadcasting goes. He has been successful with all of his pioneering ventures. The human can be a very dark being given the proper dire situation(s) and the self-serving greed that many people demonstrate today, doesn't, to a rational person, prevent the acceptance of the possibility of the situation Ted Turner proposes. You and many others may not be aware of how Monsanto is putting farmers out of business by taking them to court where judges in the US and Canada find the farmers guilty of patent infringement because some number of plants show up in farmer's crops even though wind or birds may have deposited the seeds on the "guilty" farmers land. There's an excellent documentary regarding this all over the Internet. The availability of food could get very tight in the future. Inform yourself about what is going on around you rather than feeling so smug and secure. I'm an American living in Germany where these "Monsanto seeds" are not legal. And, your comment about Jane Fonda dumping Mr. Turner, again, demonstrates that you are not informed. You, apparently, have not heard her public statement during interviews regarding the marriage and relationship and how she continues to feel about her former husband. Ignorance is a terrible thing because is furthers disinformation.

Sorry I was unaware he sold TBS.

As for Jane Fonda, I never said anything about that low life. So before you start trying to get cute with facts that don't really matter you might want to get yours straight first.

Just because he sold TBS doesn't mean he isn't a moron. He is an old fool who we would label as crazy but don't because he has alot of money.

Does anyone seriously still believe in these "predictions"? Last week's glorious "Earth Day" inspired me to do some research on various predictions made by scientists in the past. Here is a link to an article containing some of these bold claims which, if I'm not mistaken, all turned out to be true.
www.washingtonpolicy.org...

Here's my favorite part:

• “...air pollution...is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in the next few years alone,” Paul Ehrlich, interview in Mademoiselle magazine, April 1970.

• Ehrlich also predicted that in 1973, 200,000 Americans would die from air pollution, and that by 1980 the life expectancy of Americans would be 42 years.

It's late and I'm tired but I was able to see this much...

Read the body language ... At 2:40 of the video ...

"On behalf of my grandchildren" (oh and oops) "on behalf of the children all over the world" (now I better lean forward, I meant to put others before myself)

He's no better than Bill Gates in his concern for others. It's all about self. His grandchildren. He built his empire, albeit a very useful endeavor, for his own riches. He may consider others AFTER his are safe and sound. No fault to be selfish, we all are... BUT

Suddenly he likens the future of mankind to a baseball game ... OK I'll bite.

Who is on his team? His grandchildren of course; his legacy and other über'rich.

Who is the team that he says is up by one point? The parents of the children all over the world that are becoming wise to the slimey inhuman ways of the über'rich.

I have nothing against the über'rich for the sake of being that way... but when they say we need to depopulate for the children... OMG here we go again ... for the children... Who's children? Not ours ... his!

Understand what he's really saying. In my opinion, he's using his notoriety to try to sway people that either haven't heard or have respected his views over the years. I used to respect his accomplishments; he's so transparent in this interview anyone that doesn't see through it ... well, there you are.

He's probably still a great person at heart but I believe that he's been horribly deceived. It can happen to anyone.

Edit to add: Wise up Ted and don't a dumbass.
