Where should I go? I can't go back to the U.S. and I don't think they'll let me in that easy right now especially how things are. I don't have symptoms but I just had a hunch that something like this was coming. To many people with "colds" 4 months ago until now. Crap... where should I take my mother? She's allergic to any medication and I mean any. She can't even take asprin or be sedated at the damn dentist's office.

I am sensitive to manmade medicines too, and I had this crap yet by the Universe or Great Spirit's blessings I am still here and I only took herbal medicines. I'm not a doctor or a nurse or a medic, but olive leaf extract pills and fumigating my living space with PURE frankincense and camphor resins on charcoal (opens airways and encourages deep breathing, also is antiseptic) kept me from getting as bad off as the rest of my family who poo poo my "hippie herbal stuff". Make sure she drinks broth or soup made with meat and garlic, LOTS of garlic... any meat will do, but vegan stuff must take a backseat because this is serious and you need a broad spectrum nutrient source to give your body strength to recover. Be well.

Everyone needs to know what kind of flu this is. Swine Flu AKA Spanish flu was the kind that killed 20-50 million people in 1918-1919. It is a enhanced version ( Bio weapon grade ) H1N1 strain. Estimated casulitites is between 25-80% of population if this is that strain.

This has been planned in the highest level of gov't ( or the powers behind Gov't ) for 35+ years. People who are vaccinated will die, however it will take much longer 4-5? weeks. They will also be able to infect others. Without the vaccine survival times is in days. You will still die with the vaccine but you will get to share the disease with many more people. 1000 cases now reported in Mexico City. 2 in Texas and 6 in Califorina. This is being reported on ABC news. WHO reports reason for mixed strains unknow. Disease is spread human to human means is currently unknow.

Just heard on preview of 6pm news that "Two students have contracted the mysterious flu originating in Mexico" here in San Antonio,Texas...more info at 6pm.
Once something hits a school,it tends to spread RAPIDLY.

Yep. I calculated that if the disease is spread by air, if only one student at my university contracted the disease and went to school for only ONE DAY, he would infect several hundreds students, in the morning, we have classes of 200 students, themselves infecting several hundreds more in the afternoon.... you just have to watch how a normal cold is spreading fast... and imagine a kill rate of over 50% for a normal cold... that would be devastating... we would need to shut down schools and businesses until a cure is found... crippling the economy.

Worst case scenario: spread by air as easily as a cold. Symptoms identical to a normal cold. Kills you after 5 days with a mortality rate of 50%+.

IMO that cannot happen unless it's a bioweapon, like the anthrax mailings were.

The mysterious flu:

First we have the 'human flu' typically influenza type B. Symptoms include,
severe cough, severe muscle aches, horrific headache, chills and high fever.
usually around 103-105 degrees. Onset is extremely acute. Can make you extremely ill, however, most usually recover.

Second, there is the Swine flu. Originated in pigs. Symptoms include cough, fever, sore throat, nasal discharge and muscle aches. Onset also acute, however, most have recovered.

Third, there is Avian flu commonly known as Bird Flu. In order for this to transmit to humans, it is my understanding that it must first go through several mutations. Once it takes on the form of "Human Bird flu", it is not easily spread. Even through direct contact. from what I have researched, The bird Flu virus lives deep in the lungs, so even direct contact does not easily transmit the virus. Symptoms, are extreme respiratory distress, including coughing, difficulty breathing, and high fever. the person usually becomes unconscious and lapses into a coma. Death then soon follows.
this Flu virus has a very high mortality rate. The cycle takes about 3-4days.

The Mexican flu: Is suspected of killing approximately 61 people. It is a combination of all three. If it were winter, I would be less suspicious, however having a flu spread in May, gives me great pause. I simply do not know.

Regardless of the orgin of this new flu, we need to "Expect the best, prepare for the worst." We will never know what hit us if we are so inundated trying to prove a great conspiracy. The focus is, what can we do as individuals and communities to prepare?

Its strange that this h1n1 string of swine flu attacks adults, and normally its most dangerous for the elderly and the very young. I read this in an article posted on the WHO site.
