Hi my friend! Thanks for your thoughtful reply to my last response to you and the wise words you shared.
I thought it best to not further elaborate or respond further to what we discussed in our posts to one another so that the thread could keep on
topic.
Have you read Heinlick's "Job a commedy of Justice" not saying the Republicans or Democrats won't take us to Hell in their quest to rule and
destroy life as we know it, but Hell might be a more user friendly place than what these guys are aiming for!
You are very right about another thing though in that the NeoCon agneda is particuarly dangerous to those who seek a truly democratic society.
So called conservative republican principals based on devout faith to a Single and Singular Christian God that no plurality exists elliminates any
opposing form of view through that absolute belief system for any one to discuss, debate, oppose or challenge as there would be no diversity and no
differing oppinion once fully integrating that so called written in "stone" Biblical Christian Law, that if there was even any need to write or have
a constitution for such a government that constitution's preamble would have to be written like this...In the beggining there was only darkness...
Dangers sure can abound when those that lead that profess they can illuminate and light the darkness do so in a very fixed and rigid way in a world
that is far more fluid than that singular rigid approach can adequately anticipate and responsively, responsibly and wisely react to using such a
narrow beam to light the way.
The death of Democracy is mixing Church with State, and binding the State with the Churches singular not plural view in the process.
In my humble oppinion that clarion call to arms of the extremely polarized singlular narrow view of the Neocon Agenda is a determined effort to create
a school of thought and principal so emboldened it comes replete with the belief in a divine right and rightesnous to supercede, and dominate,
supress, marginalize and elliminate any other forms of competing ideals and direction through that flawed circular assumption and belief.
Very much like some nation's just that implied and imagined belief that they might one day come under attack becomes their galvanizing excuse to
elliminate anyway possible any possible threat and yes, that sure would be the end of democracy.
While the 'democratic' left appears to be trying to develop a binding idealogy of their own that may one day develop in to a strong enough and
seemingly credible enough written in stone and no longer debated amongst it's core proponents set of values, that they too might then choose to try
to eliminate all opposition too, the democratic left does not have that idealogy anywhere complete yet, settled, to impose, and may not any time soon
or ever.
The Neocons do though have their singular idealogy set in stone and are ready enough to roll with it, and could and even soon if they can embolden its
members through some clarion call to action.
Threats abound to the left and the right, but that is for right now the most formidable threat to the ellimination of representative democracy.
Darn that Laura Bush for being so cute, that school teacher/librarian look gets me every time.
Good post my friend.
