A friend of mine from Wisconsin said that she used to hang out with other Pagans on Beans Eddy Road and drink beer and such while performing some of their ceremonies there. Gypsy, her nickname, says that the size of the group fluctuated somewhat, but that the average size was around 9 people. Most of it was regular magick ceremonies to ask something from one of the Pagan deities that she said they worshipped. She did say that on occasion, they would perform initiations there and also engage in sex magick as part of the ceremonies.

I have heard that the area at the end was/is used for pagan/satanic/occult rituals.
