Not really. The Elks founders were Freemasons, and there are many similarities between the Elk ritual and the Masonic one. The Elks even used to invest their candidates with aprons!

Ritual and Interpersonal development have nothing to do with rituals and aprons.

But I could really care less.. Father is an Elk - so my opinions could be skewed.
